Picking up 20mill for a player who, at the most generous interpretation, might be seen as a fringe player, is a financial bonus.
But I do wish we had taken the opportunity to address the fullback situation.
And ok the offer came in late, but with a little thought, we my have been able to do something muchaly beifishal, C/P Striker deal fell down, if we had made an offer for the player, in loan with an option to buy, it might have worked for everyone.

Incorrect, i believe he did want the move and the deal fell through due to palaces finances.

Palace tried to restructure the deal to a loan witn an obligation after their own player failed his medical with Milan. Allegedly, there wasn't enough time to negotiate a new deal.
