See rumours spurs are in for Godfrey. Can we have there pants down and demand 50 million?!
{Ed025's Note - i will be honest Witty i would take 50p mate..
1.) 07 Dec 2023 17:50:25
Haha yeah a bit tounge in cheek as sadly if the lad was owned by Robbie fowler he would be fit for the glue factory. Just hate the way spurs operate. Having said that I think there has been too much hype / sensationalism over Richardson. When you look at his stats for us they aren't amazing so I think maybe 60m was fair.
2.) 07 Dec 2023 21:51:02
Would take a swap.
3.) 07 Dec 2023 22:03:29
I'd have the way spurs operate over the way we have.
4.) 08 Dec 2023 16:12:20
You can pull mine down for 50p, sheil roads finest.
5.) 08 Dec 2023 19:30:25
Wrong! He is a good player, just not good enough for the positions currently occupied.
6.) 13 Dec 2023 17:49:18
Do a deal with Dele and swap with one of their midfielders like Hojberg.

Im not being a pessimist or looking to disappoint people but i just have a feeling regardless of the sale of the club i'm not convinced the new owners will suddenly part company with dyche straight away and he could be here until his contract is up. (future results dependent) Having said that, i do think results will turn and we will stay up quite comfortably. I don't think that will start at arsenal this weekend though. I think the rebuild so to speak will be summer 25. I do believe the club will start turning a corner and the future is bright!
1.) 13 Dec 2024 09:02:54
people won't like to hear it Witty, but it's also great news if Dyche can turn us round, keep us up and then part ways in the summer.
as you say the next chapter is a rebuild, i'd rather the new regime's focus from here until the summer being getting everything in place (boardroom, CEO, DOF, Strategy)
& i'd rather the rebuild on the pitch not be a mid-season managerial panic.
Wolves have kept O'Neill this long due to them struggling to see value in replacements, the only two names that stand out are Potter and Moyes right now.
people also need to look at the finance behind it, paying off Dyche and then scrounging round the free agents pool of manager sonly due to PSR.
i'd hope everyone is rather hoping Dyche gets us back on track, and we can start fresh in the summer with more potential options, than panicking now.
2.) 13 Dec 2024 09:37:29
No game in the prem is an easy game and we got some hard games coming up but so have the clubs below us so let’s see what happens and enjoy Christmas COYB.
3.) 13 Dec 2024 12:00:51
Hardly panicking though is it mate? How many games have we actually won over the last 12 months home and away? We are in danger of becoming a clone of his Burnley days, the manager simply isn't good enough and I don't trust him to keep us up when you consider the way he sets us up to play. If we fall into the bottom 3 over Christmas then there is little alternative other than to give him the boot. We can't leave anything to chance with the new stadium almost ready, it wasn't built for championship football after all.
4.) 13 Dec 2024 23:06:25
Sacking dyche won't have much impact on our PSR. The club are confident they are well within PSR for the year 23/ 24 so paying Dyche and his team until the end of the season won't impact this year's Psr massively. I can see Dyche in charge until the summer unless we drop deepp into the bottom 3 and I can't see that happening.
Best get used to it he's most likely going to see out his contract.
04 Dec 2024 21:29:26
Jack harrison is absolute poo. Even at 3 0 i was nervous. don't look comfortable at any point. Just sheer relief for the win. Broja looked handy and he could be a big player for us. Dcl crap as usual, couldn't finish his dinner.
27 Apr 2024 22:42:09
See Holgate was in the starting lineup for Sheffield utd today. Anyone know when his contract is up? Dare I say it I think he's worst than keane.
1.) 27 Apr 2024 23:06:49
One more year think he on 72k week so will be another loan.
2.) 28 Apr 2024 08:25:40
72k per week lol. He's league 1 fodder. Unbelievable!
In response to some of the other posts, although the football ain't been pretty the stats and results speak for themselves. I hope dyche stays, feel the team needs stability irrespective of who leaves and who joins.
3.) 28 Apr 2024 17:26:04
Can we waiver the rule saying he can’t play against his parent club? If he plays, we have a much better chance of another 3 points!
03 Apr 2024 00:51:51
See simms and broadhead scoring for fun in a good league. Bowler scored at the weekend too. Why oh why do these young players never progress into our 1st team?
1.) 03 Apr 2024 02:16:28
The championship is a different animal. If they were doing it in the Premier league every week then you would have a point but it's hard to compare the two leagues ans say they would definitely be scoring every game or so.
2.) 03 Apr 2024 07:08:43
Billy Sharp scored for fun in the Championship.
3.) 03 Apr 2024 09:09:08
Yep they’re allowed to tackle in the Championship, and the games played at a decent pace, non of this tippy tappy crap. Seriously is Simms worse than Beto? So there’s 25m we could have saved.
4.) 03 Apr 2024 11:29:18
Simms was sold to raise instant cash. Beto's fee is paid next season. It's all been done to help balance the books in the short term.
5.) 03 Apr 2024 15:27:27
Well that didn’t work did it?
03 Feb 2024 23:26:17
The moaning from ange and some of the spurs players pathetic. On another note see Holgate played for Sheffield utd today - just saying!
1.) 04 Feb 2024 10:30:14
We have to use every trick in the book, we don’t have the same level of players as Spurs. We have to match them with passion, hard work etc, and we did that. Yes they could have scored more, but so could we. Did Ange mention how much time Maddison tried to waste during the match, or the phantom facial injuries? Nope. Good point for me, and well deserved.
2.) 04 Feb 2024 11:05:24
Any player or team who continue to go down like they have nern shot should face the same 30 second off the field time, (obviously its just to check their welfare and make sure they are OK to continue ?) it may stop some of the play acting that has crept into the game. I'm not against us having the same treatment with Onana.
3.) 04 Feb 2024 11:48:10
There was no more moaning from Spurs than any other of us (Prem Clubs) . To be fair, no Team is going to roll over for any other, no matter the off field circumstances. I would like to applaud Ricky for his respect.
4.) 05 Feb 2024 03:25:10
Any player claiming a head injury should be made to go through a h. i. a as they do in rugby. that would stop most players from play acting.
5.) 05 Feb 2024 07:05:38
Exactly what I meant.
6.) 05 Feb 2024 18:37:32
The should introduce concussion protocol and make the player with the head injury go off the field of play for 1 minute minimum to be accessed that will soon stop the cheats.
13 Jul 2024 14:07:39
Got to be honest but from what I've seen of him 50 million is fine. More bothered about the talk of resigning dele Ali.
11 Jul 2024 15:22:10
Is carlsberg not the Danish equivalent?!
19 Jun 2024 23:38:06
Would leave gnonto. I don't rate him at all.
12 Jun 2024 00:50:33
No thanks to broja on a perm. Loan then fine.
19 May 2024 16:32:42
Completely agree take -4 and keep branthwaite. He seems like a good lad with a sensible head on young shoulders, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to stay 1 more season. Also as good as he is tarkowski deserves equal credit! . Onana can go with my blessing, he's added little.
18 Jan 2025 16:40:47
Sadly lyon are crap, they have been in decline for a number of seasons. Bit like efc!
15 Jan 2025 23:09:45
Yeah he is seriously poor. Amount of times pickford is looking for an out ball but has no movement or options. We don't try and stretch teams. Pickford has been a credit last couple of seasons, he's the only positive in what is a dreadful team.
15 Jan 2025 22:57:42
Tounge in cheek. "has he gone yet? "
{Ed025's Note - it may not be tongue in cheek if things dont improve Witty..
15 Jan 2025 22:55:32
I questionned is it the manager or the players. Well. Conclusive it is the players, such a poor poor team
. Never mind how bad we are with the ball, out of possession we are lacklustre. If i played for that shirt seeing villa nonchantly pass the ball about amongst there back 4 and keeper it would instill enough rage in me to at least lay one on the keeper (no not out lot ) passive as usual. Out of possession 1st half it looked like thoughout the team they needed to be 20 yards futher forward. We don't press with any conviction. I switched off on 80 mins. The real issue is the utter lack of qualkty though that just rears its ugly heas time and time again. Dacoure mykalenko dcl harrison. Lindstrom crap, thought mangala was poor in possession today as well.
Sorry to be so glass half full but i think we are bang in trouble. Frustrated with the formation again same old same old.
09 Jan 2025 22:53:55
The negativity with comments like its been a difficult day at everton? Why? Just because we sacked a manager. One thing we are is resiliant? We have had tougher days like nearly being relegated the last 3 seasons. Honestly the commentary was just pathetic.
Positives for me on the game.
Loved the formation
Obrien
Armstong
Patterson
Mangala
Baines coleman an era from when we had great strength on the flanks.
Would love to see us go back to that style. But mykalenko is shockingly bad at times.
