This is a message for any of the eds in the hope that they can either help or point me in the right direction.
I'm looking to contact a former Rangers, Man City, Rochdale and Swansea player, Derek Parlane. I'm not after his phone number or address, maybe an email address or if someone could pass a message on?
Basically, he is a few years younger than my Dad and they grew up in the same village, Rhu. My Dad has recently passed away and I just wanted to pass that on to Derek in any possible way.
They know each other but haven't been in contact for many years. I remember meeting him as a kid at Tranmere's ground when I think he was playing for Rochdale. At that age, I didn't believe that my old man knew any pro footballer, always thought he as on the wind up.
We waited in the car park until the away team coach arrived and Derek got off. He noticed us standing there and acknowledged my Dad immediately! A young me was gobsmacked!
Hopefully, there is someone who could help me but I realise it's a long shot. Cheers in advance ??.
