Thought Tim and Merlin were absolutely fantastic tonight, especially Tim.
We all love him but Ndiaye let us down tonight imo. Finishing was poor and there were plenty of opportunities to play it to a man in space but he went for glory instead.
Played well tonight but absolutely criminal that we allowed them to score straight from kick off. We never learn.

First half was a very poor one. We weren’t competitive and the second half, when we were, showed that. It’s a bit cheeky going in just a goal behind so I’ll take that. Second half was so much better.
It’s all too often we are not up for a game until the second half or when we go behind. The coaching team are struggling to affect change in this area, which will continue to be a concern and will continue to stunt our progress to a level where we can hope to win silverware.
Felt like a loss last night, against a top team means we can be really good. Just need it from the start before I’m convinced we can win anything under this coaching team.
{Ed025's Note - you are right Ace the two halves were night and day mate..

Blue Nose, agree with all you say. Seeing Merlin in the first half, beating City players for pace on the right, something that's been lacking. Hope to see more of him in that position.
Tim, very good.
Correct on Ndiaye, wasted chance when he could have passed to a team mate.
Barry, I don't know what to say.
Everton's defence far better with Branthwaite playing. Not taking anything away from Keane, who is also playing well.

Merlin looked very promising. Hope to see more of him before the season ends. Tim was great at closing down and tackling. Just needs to learn to pass to someone on his team. Some encouraging signs from our younger players though.
