Anyone else surprised with what Moyes said about using youth/young players from the bench:
" The one thing you do want when you get into situations is you really need young players, who you can go to and have on the bench, some games bring them through. We probably don't quite have that yet coming through enough, so it's something we have to try and rebuild again "
Where did that come from? Thought we had a young bench but he was reluctant to use them!

Pretty sure this is a nice way of him saying they're not ready yet. We're all just like 'yeah, chuck the youngsters in, they'll do a better job', but DM and his coaching staff have been trained at what they do and see these players a lot more than we do. They're the professionals and we're fans.

So obviously he's saying the club gutted out a fantastic youth setup, one of the best in the country to save some money when the s*** was hitting the fan. And now says we have a long road back to getting the setup back to those levels. It's really not rocket science or a surprise. He's been consistent in every presser when asked. I expect another summer of not only additional squad players but manyo young players. I'm sure loads of moaning will ensue, but it's the entire club and not just a 1st team rebuild. It
's what's rattling the OAPs, panicking they won't get to see it before they pop off.
With the likes of Dibbling, a player DM said in his first presser, 'he'll go straight into the 21s and is one for the future.' Give it 3 to 5 years and see where the new owners have taken us.
I'm sure DM would love to have a club with more wins and dominating more games so the environment and timing is better to introduce a kid or 3 once games are already won. You know? Like the big clubs do it. Instead of baiting fans screaming bloody murder why we don't have a 15 year old prodigy etc etc when other clubs make those headlines. Ones usually in the top 4. The road is long and some won't make it.

I thought the likes of Aznou, Rohl, Dibling and Armstrong were all at the stage of coming on in the second half with 15mins to spare. Do you not agree? That's what I found strange about the comment. He must rate them a bit to give them the odd game this season, so why not use them as he suggests?
I get we need to build up youth players also, so we can eventually have more 15 year old wonder kids coming on, but may as well use the players we have in the meantime.

Well, Rohl & Tim have been sitting on the bench most of the season, and look how that's worked out. Moyes likes players who graft, players who can defend as well as attack. That is why players like Alcaraz get overlooked. It's not because he's not good enough, it's because his first thought is to go forward while his defending is poor.
As for bringing young players through, when? Armstrong got brought back and has since just sat on the bench.
How is that helping his development? And what has happened to Aznou? He looked really good when he came on, and I haven't seen him since. And it's not like Micky is playing that well to keep him out.
Moyes is a steady hand but he's not the future if we really are serious about getting back to winning cups.

Aznou has apparently been a pain in the ass and is looking to be moved on (don't need one of them in the dressing room) . Rohl's recently had hernia surgery and has made appearances when fit and well, same as Harrison, and Dibling was clearly bought for the future.
A lot of fans getting on his back definitely isn't going to help the kid. I personally believe Dibling will become an exceptional player within the next few years and the money we actually spent on him will end up being an excellent deal.

Hopefully, TFG have seen enough this season to bin Moyes. There is plenty of talent coming free at the end of the season with Premier League experience and play a lot better football than we do.

Who said Aznou has been a pain in the ass, as you put it. The lad came on, played well, then Moyes reverted to Micky, who has been poor this season. I would be a little pissed off if I was him. But, to say he's disruptive, from who exactly?
