If you own a football club, you want a manager that, on a limited budget, will make sure, you don't get pulled into relegation zone, will not overspend, and are content to regularly finish in mid table, then Moyes is your man.
With respect, this is Everton, we expect to be at football's top table. If the above is the height of your ambitions, kindly sell it on to someone who, gets it.

The right to be at 'the top table' has to be earned, not given. We may have been there many, many years ago, but we have done nothing in our recent history to suggest that we should be up there right now. Maybe the expectations from some of our fans need to be based more in reality rather than what we did back in the 80s and before.
It is a building process, and it's only in its infancy right now.
I'm not too sure what the point of your post is? Are you telling the board to sell up if they don't meet your expectations of challenging for the league?

I think his point is that this is a different football club now and one that he hopes has aspirations to getting back to where we were in the Eighties. Guess we will find out the answer to that question before the start of next season.

All fair points, lads, and I am desperate to see some success at the club as we all are.
There've been several false dawns in recent history. Billionaire owners raised expectations, but we've moved no closer to success, you could say we've moved backwards.
In my opinion, the current owners are going about their business in the right way, seeing the seeds for genuine progress and success in the coming years.
The new stadium, commercial partnerships and the first summer of rebuilding is a massive step forwards. Stability is underrated in modern football, and fans call for immediate progress.
I believe we have made progress, and that we'll make further progress next season.
The CEO has today outlined this clearly, saying that it was always a 2 summer window strategy, building stability, and that Moyes is their man to oversee this. The time to talk of new managers will be this time next year, depending on how we improve on the pitch.
Fully expect some exciting transfers, and further development of our youth teams and commercial strength. UTFT.

Fully expect some exciting transfers? Hope so m8, but I can't see it. Moyes is in the 80s, has no idea. How many pts has he lost us with his subs??

Nowhere near as many as from VAR.

I would say that KDH and Grealish were transfers I was excited about, we certainly enjoyed the impact at the beginning of the season. We'll see ay?

Luckily, TFG think DM is the manager to take us even further in the coming seasons, looking forward to next couple of windows under DM.
