Had the points deductions we had, ended with relegation, with no new owners, administration, then having to sell the new stadium and rent it back, plus losing our better player. All that for one minor overspend, would any reasonable person have consider that fair?
Ourselves, S/wednesday, Notts/f, and Lestier, have all been punish in the main for dogey owners.
Today I feel sorry for the supporters of Southampton, punish for something they had nothing to do with, but very harshly dealt with.
Seems football authority's are fine dishing out Dre onion instant punishment to some, whilst the likes of City can build a decade of success on a foundation of cheating and lieing about it.

We could easily have ended up like Sheffield Wednesday if it wasn’t for the new owners. Both my boys went to Sheffield University and now live and work there. So I have been to a few of their games and have to say, given what they have been through, their support is fantastic.
Great atmosphere, and they always get behind their team. Dodgy owner has killed them. Ring any bells?
{Ed025's Note - it could so easily have been us BMD..

It's not fair on the supporters, but does that mean they should get away with breaking the rules? It wasn't just one occasion. They have admitted to doing it at least three times this season. The difference with them, us, and Forest is that those in charge of the Championship take no messing.
The Premier League, however, is a different animal altogether. They only grew a set once the government threatened them with an independent regulator.
Southampton's punishment is harsh on the fans, but they have admitted to the charges and deserve to be sanctioned.

They did it three times as well, it's time to stop cheating.

While some cheat, others bend the rules to suit.

It's a shame that fans have to suffer because of a badly run football club. I'm not a fan of points deduction as it's not fair on fans. Massive fines and transfer bans should be given.

Goes on all the time, lads. Not illegal to record in a public place. It's a rule, not a law. The bloke doing the filming wasn't trespassing. Was it wrong in spirit? Yes. Did it give Southampton an advantage? Of course it didn't. 11 v 11, not 12 v 11, and tactics and players change during the game.
Now, if it had been against us, an absolute advantage until the 88th minute, and by then it would be too late for us. Teams are looking for an excuse after getting beat on the pitch. Still, I suppose Morrico did beat Senegal 3-0.
