A promising young player, after and eight year with the club, has decided to leave.
I can't say I personally know much about the player, however, he was, so I understand, highly regarded, this is an endickment of our academy management.
A two year contract, plus a loan to give him a possible route into the first team, would surely have made sense, but then this is Everton.

Our academy needs to be better. TFG have been very open about their wish to improve the prospects coming through and appointments to oversee this have already been made.

Or he isn't good enough, how many academy players who have left are ripping it up elsewhere?

Seen a stat in an interview the other day, could have been Owen in one of the rags. It mentioned that less than 1% of academy players make it through to the first team, not too sure if that's just Premier League or not. Some of you will use anything to have a pop at the club!
