To be honest I’m not sure I trust Moyes with a large sum of money if we do sell N’Diaye. He spent enough last year and kept them on the bench. While I’m grateful for what Moyes has done, I’m at the point now where I wish he’d take the Scotland job and hopefully Carsley would take over. He would be familiar with a few of our younger players and know how to get the best out of them.
As for the transfer window, I’m sure being with the U21s he would have a great knowledge of that age group throughout Europe and pick out some players that might go under the radar. One thing for certain is, if we continue to plod along the way we’re going, we’re looking at another long, hard season of mediocrity.
{Ed025's Note - im praying for mediocrity KB..

Why am I starting to get depressed already and the season has not started yet? ?

When I was younger, it was an exciting time to support Everton, we won trophies, but even when not winning one, it was exciting to watch them. We had great players and excellent Managers and the excitement built all week to the game, great crowds at the "Old Lady". I have been there with almost 78,000 Evertonians.
Then after Wembley in 1995 we went on a downward spiral and now we are lucky to call ourselves a mid-table club. More importantly than the lack of trophies is the boring tactics used by Manager after Manager, including Moyes.
Until I was transferred to the US in 1978, I hardly missed a game at home and attended many away games. Now I would rather play golf and record the game. How sad is that?
I just wish that the new owners would attend some games, get the passion, and elevate us to an exciting team, great to watch, and winning a few trophies would be nice.

Great post, Mike. It really is a sad state of affairs.

So true, Mike. I blame the state of modern football on the rise of the Premier League and Sky Sports. I'm 57 and started going to Goodison with some mates without any adults with us from the age of 14.
£2.50 to get in Lower Gladys or Paddock. The buzz was unbelievable. Now I don't see young kids having that same experience. Too many live matches on tv and crap pundits.

That'll be reading this site on a daily basis, NickB57. ? It's enough to make any Everton fan depressed in my opinion.
{Ed025's Note - i wish it were different Peter, we all want this club to be the best version of itself that it can be but it seems we are stagnating and its been like that for a long time now mate, i dont think we are asking for miracles...just a bit of progress..

No worries Ed025. Totally understand mate. I personally believe the support has waned on here particularly compared to 10 years ago, it's a totally different read nowadays.
In the past couple of years we've had a takeover, a new Mercedes of a stadium, we've survived a point deduction to still be playing at the highest level. (I know most won't agree) but a manager that understands the club and that players actually want to play for (Grealish, Hackney) yet there's about as much positivity on here than there is in a burnt sausage.
With that all being said I'm still reading mate ? with my favourite posters being GB (some actual optimism) and JBtoffee I tend to agree with a lot. I'm personally looking forward to the new season and am 100% certain they'll be more players including a first choice rb to come in before the end of the window. I guess if we all had the same opinion then life would be boring wouldn't it. At least we all want the same thing overall Ed. UTFT ✌?
{Ed025's Note - we certainly do Peter, i just want us to move forward mate even if its only a tiny bit, im not asking for a team like the 80,s one but a bit of structure would be nice and addressing our obvious needs like a right back and a forward to replace the gruesome twosome up front would do me, we have to get away from plays like our kick off which consists of KDH hoofing the ball a 100ft in the air hoping for second phase ball...that is not football to me, the manager has got a lot to answer for imo but of course thats my personal view, i hope you are well my friend..
