Just watched the highlights.
I just cannot get my head around how we are still having to suffer and watch Michael Keane commit gross negligence with his trademark defending of ball watching, retreating to our byline and allowing simple cut-backs to allow the opposition to score goals.
He isn't the only one guilty of it and it is usually our entire backline that does it in unison.
It is probably the only element of cohesion we show as a football team. All collectively as s*** as the one another at defending.

I have to agree, Blue Nose. What I've seen of Myko in recent games makes me wonder who he's managing to get into the team. He's been bloody rubbish, and the young lad Azoni, if spt right, has been head and shoulders better. Kean, I just don't get it.
Why we didn't leave O'Brien in the middle and put Patterson on the right to see how O'Brien and Braithwaite got on, but no, do the same old crap in a friendly that mean f*** all. So what did Moyes learn, absolute nothing.

There's no logic in it. A back 4 of Mikolenko, Keane and O'Brien doesn't work; they can't defend high balls into the box. I don't include Branthwaite in the crap back 4, but when the other 3 are on the pitch together, everything goes tit's up.

I know it's only a friendly and it's all about getting match fitness blah blah. But surely by now we should know what our strongest back four should be, and so should be playing them and not moving them around the bloody pitch.
We all know O'Brien is a centre back and not a right back, but what is it doing to his confidence to move him and bring Keane on, who we all know is past it. We had a right back on the bench, whether you like him or not, is irrelevant, but it would have left O'Brien and Branthwaite to build a partnership. Surely that's more important.
Moyes' stubbornness and predictability is going to cost us big time this season.
He will play Micky because he doesn't trust Aznou, even though the lad has shown potential. The right back position has been a complete embarrassment, and if it doesn't get sorted, then expect Rohl or O'Brien to fill that gap. That is not the sign of a club moving forward.
As for the striker issue. I fully expect Moyes to go for Delap, not because he is a good striker but because he is a grafter, and Moyes loves grafters. So next season will be a combination of Delap/Barry, same format, just different names.
Peeded off already and the season hasn't even started yet.
