At the start of the football season, all supporters are full of hope, even if it quickly turns in to disappointment.
However, here at our club, even at this stage, all hope has been extingwished. This has been accomplished by the gross incompetence of our clubs ? supposed professional management, and here I am not refering to the team manager.
I know that TFG may well of saved us from administration, but they have failed to even attend matches, and left the clowns they appointed to report back to them on the club's progress, and, when you get to mark your own homework, you tend to award yourself high marks.

Please, TFG, pay us a visit, and see the bloody shambles they have made of running Our club, the owners, are only ever the guardens, Please come and see the cock up they have made of their task.

Sorry, dude, what bloody shambles are you talking about?

Manager.
Scouts.
Sighings.
The Leeds crew who jumped over.
Just a small list from the top of my head, so early on a Sunday morning bunkbeds.

I am optimistic that we will have a better season than last, so you don't speak for me. Maybe 5 or 6 on here, but what a grandiose all encapsulated load of drivvle. Uptft.

Skylark,
Moyes, clearly not everyone's cup of tea, and that won't change, even if we won some silverware.
We have no idea about the scouts.
Signings so far-
George
Norgaard
Hackney
are three very good players.

Do we need more? Yes, will we get more, yes.

A 'Shambles' of a club which is financially secure, one of the very best stadiums in the country and further afield. Is hardly a shambolic situation, is it?

Absolutely Fbs.

Be a monumental failure not to have a better season than last positionally. So that's a safe target.

The true target should be can we play a better style of football and improve positionally, whilst developing the young talent we have.

I think Barry will come good, I just have a feeling. But when we are still at threat of Burnley's CB partnership 10 years ago, possibly starting games next year, we should be concerned. When we still don't have a RB, we should be concerned. Our leftback is obviously very poor too.

Have we improved since the Dyche days? Not for me, but that's an opinion, I'd say our team is better individually too. The manager's job is to implement a style, and improve players individually, which then benefits a team improvement. Who has improved? Has our style got better?

I'm interested how we do compared to Newcastle, who in the past year have lost Isak, Bruno G, Tonali, Trippier. They finished 1 place above us, and now have lost a massive spine to their identity and style, with an inexperienced but ambitious manager at the helm, who speaks very clearly about how he wants his team to play, one who has been praised for being highly adaptable.

I suspect they do miles better than us, but we'll see.

So, of the 4 teams below us who didn't get relegated - Leeds, Forest, Spurs, Palace - are we confident to be better than them? Honestly, I'm a little concerned because you'd be crazy to think Spurs won't be better than us. I seen Leeds play really well vs Liverpool couple of weeks back, and Forest/Palace no European distractions this time.

I think all teams who finished above are better than us right now.

Genuinely, hand on heart, hope I'm wrong, but I think we got very lucky in a lot of games late on last campaign, games we were 2nd best but got points late. I think as it stands we are better than all 3 promoted sides and have to hope one of them doesn't have a season like Sunderland.

Maybe just a cynic and would love to be wrong and eat humble pie at Christmas.

I respect all posters/opinions on here, and hope we get some late magic in the window and that pre season games truly do mean nothing.

Nor me, I completely agree with Fbs. It's all hogwash.

Football clubs are judged on what they win. I will sit on the fence for a while regarding TFG.

{Ed025's Note - a bit early in the piece to judge them for me Skylark..

09 Aug 2026 14:52:55
Agree Ed, I meant judging Everton as club before TFG took over, I wasn't judging TFG on winning trophies at Everton, I was judging them on what I've seen so far and up to now I'm sat on the fence
