1 week before our first game, no new right back, no new striker.. All these weeks and nothing but unfounded rumours about everyone with a pulse. So disappointing but no surprise! We're Everton! coyb

I do find it all a bit shocking that we don't have a right back, but I'm not too worried now after watching Rohl, but if he got injured we would be in poop. I'm more worried about the left side, Myko looks well off the pace, mind, last game he wasn't as bad, but doesn't fill me with confidence going forward.

As much as we (think) we know, the coaching staff do not appear to be worried about LB. Mykolenko's weakness is running up field, but then leaving himself exposed. This would/could be rectified if someone slotted in behind.
Pre-season has seen him more in his defensive position because George attacks, keeping the opposition right side busy. Aznou is more a LWB, but will no doubt challenge Mykolenko this coming season.

I've never been convinced by Myko, but he's just re-signed a new deal, best get behind him.

Mykolenko's weakness is not that leaving himself exposed from running up field, it is that he doesn't run up field.

He runs up field alright, he doesn't get back. I truly have no idea what games some watch or where.

Dms, you continually have sly digs at anyone that doesn't rate Mykolenko. I have asked you before, what are the strengths you see in him when you're watching 'different games' to us?
I think, outside of O'Brien at RB, he is the weakest link in our team and the easiest to improve on. He has many weaknesses and his lack of attacking play at this level is hard to believe.
I think with Noorgard and Branthwaite playing with him will help him defensively. But the sooner he is replaced, the better we will be. If Aznou steps up then brilliant but if Moyes doesn't think Aznou is ready then I would hope we sign another LB asap.
