Moyes was seething in his interview on Sky, we spent the last year building up a team of transfer gurus, apparently all the top men. What are they doing ffs? Also I’m bewildered how the owners can’t manage to turn up to watch the team but manage to trot down to Roma.
Let’s face it, if you had a season ticket would you stay at home and watch it all on TV? Come on guys, don’t blame it all on Moyes, who by the way didn’t move for the Scotland job which was widely predicted.

I wouldn't say seething. He was guarded, but very clear that he wants more business. Classic old school manager call to the board for action. He was also clear that they are very aware of where we need to strengthen.
We swing back and forth on here, from calling for the club to get deals done, to not overpaying. We cannot just go out and splash 40/50 million on every player.

Totally agree, JB, however, Im in the camp of just go pay 40 mil for Guela Doue if he is indeed the 1st choice. At least he can either accept or reject the offer and we move on. I get the feeling the club are waiting to see if they can get him in late in the window if nobody else jumps in 1st.
We can be patient in all the other positions as we have cover. But, rb needs sorting yesterday.

I think that's the big one, JB money. I think we have many gaps to fill, and not the 100s of millions people think we have. You don't go looking at Castania "spelling" if you have a few quid to spend.

We've got to chill a bit here, it's not Football Manager. It's not just about dragging any old player through the door, they've got to be the right ones and at the right price, otherwise we're back in front of the Premier League accountants getting another slap.
This window's the same as every other and the proper bargains land late.
Plus, if we really need eight or nine players, we can't just go throwing money around like we're City.
Big issue is we haven't sold a soul for nearly two years, so the budget's basically running on fumes. We've already eaten a 10-point deduction. Last thing we need is another one because we panicked and overspent on a right-back and striker.
