The next few weeks will be very important for us. Let's hope that we can get a right-back and striker in before the window closes.
The other thing is the game tactics used by Moyes. We don't need the tactics used for the last six games at the end of last season. This pre-season we have seen good games from Armstrong, George, Dibling Rohl and Aznou. You don't just become a good player because you are six months older? Why weren't they used more at the end of last season.
Hopefully we will see more of the younger players. I realize that you need a mixture of experience and youth but sometimes an exciting player like George can make a difference and bring some excitement to the game. If he is needed, bring him on at the 60th minute not at the 85th.

On that basis, I see somewhere between 9 and 11 points from our first six games. What do others expect.

I think something similar was said about the last six games last season. I don't predict anymore because I have no idea what team is going to turn up. As Mike says, we have looked decent going forward - yes, I know we need a striker - and, hopefully, we continue to play that way next season.

Moyes was a defender, and he is defensive minded. I think he'll play for some draws, so don't expect to win everything, though we should try to.
Palace H - win (by 1 goal with us holding on at the end, though could easily be a draw) .
Bournemouth A - win (hopefully, new manager trying to sort team still. Not had much luck at Bournemouth in the past and would be nice to change it) .
United H - draw (Moyes will show too much 'respect' instead of going all out) .
Spurs A - draw/loss (we don't travel well to London, often) .
Ipswich H - win (we have to go all out against the new boys) .
Hull A - win (again, have to go all out) .
The issue will be, and has been for the last few seasons, whether we can score goals. We have lots of good build up play in pre season, but didn't hit full stride except in the Newcastle game. If Barry/Beto can start an early goal scoring spree, then we will be alright. I think we'll see Delap or possibly Richy come in.
