What is all this LB nonsense? The lad played well as did Rohl on the other side. All sides look good once they get their head in the game after going ahead. George, Hackney, Rohl (signings) did their prospects no harm at all.

Of course there will be disappointments ahead, that's the game. Slightly confused how Aznou didn't make the bench. Imagine a 3 legged giraffe! That's Barry, but the lad scored.

I can only presume you are replying to my earlier post, so I will answer the question.

Mykolenko is a bang average footballer. He is limited in almost every facet of the game. His only skill, which has now diminished severely, was to mark somebody out of the game and spoil their work. He is consistently caught out of position at the back post. He presses when he should sit, and leaves gaping holes in behind (Chelsea last year springs to mind at Stamford Bridge) . I won't even comment on his "attacking" play.

Almost every team in the PL, and I won't include the promoted, has a better LB than Mykolenko.

Had Sarr been playing against him today, he would have had him on toast.

You may say that he had a good game today, but I would prefer to look at the 5 seasons I have watched him play for Everton prior to today and he is s****.

Nothing against the lad personally, as he seems a nice quiet lad and gives his all.

To my knowledge, you are the only poster on this forum that ever seems to reply to posts that call him out. Sorry that you feel as if I am coming after a player that you love but he is simply not good enough to play for this football club.

It's your opinion, mate. I thought the opposite, he played well. We all have different opinions, mate, but hey, what a win, our new recrididus, proud mate.

BlueNose, I completely agree with all that. We are vulnerable when he plays.

I didn't say he played poorly, GB. In my post earlier, I simply said that I hope we get a RB, a Striker and a LB.

Nothing I said was based on today. It is based off the 5 seasons prior. He is simply not good enough to be playing LB for Everton Football Club, not if we have any aspirations to finish in a decent league position.

But, couldn't agree more on the win, mate. Massive to get off to a good start and only positions us as more attractive for potential incomings in the remaining days of the window.

I agree, TA. He isn't PL level for me, mate. Just my opinion, of course.

It's good we have this debate after a win, that's what it's all about.

Although he played ok today, got to agree with BN that he isn't good enough and we should be looking for another LB this window.

Haven't seen the game or highlights, but based on the last 5 pre season games, I'd be amazed if Myko played well.

Like BN says, his positional play has been awful and he is a liability when I've watched him. Really hope Aznou will get some more game time this year.
