Some perspective and a reality check required. Up to now, we’ve kept all of our best assets.
Imagine how we’d feel if we’d lost the equivalent of Martinez, Watkins, Rogers & Konsa. Be like Pickford, JB, Garner and Ndayie leaving. This has happened because they continued to spend on fees and wages when they shouldn’t and had to pay hefty fines.
If the deals for players that improve us are doable, we’ll do them. Plenty yet to happen in the market and we won our first game. Move forward on the cup, keep the momentum going.
{Ed0666's Note - now this is the optimism the world needs. I love it mate.

I like this post a lot! Great reminder about our situation.
Hopefully, there are a couple more affordable options available to us which we will complete on, that improve our starting 11 and don't out us in financial difficulty.

And it may be that some of those players do leave, but at least from a position of strength where Everton are concerned, making a big profit that we can reinvest in the squad. Look at the way Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth do business.
They've sold loads of players but are still competitive and challenging or even qualifying for Europe. After the horrors of the first part of the decade, I am all for stability and sound team building.
