If we have to sell our best players to balance the books then we might as well have stayed at Goodison. We were sold the dream that moving into our new home would bring us new fortunes
But it looks more like another nightmare at the moment.

I'm not putting the whole blame on Everton but I just have that feeling of what's the point of supporting this club or almost any other if you think about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've only been in the new stadium for 1 season.

To be fair, Skylark, we cannot afford to weaken the squad either. I would much rather, after this lad (if) Tete comes in, we don't sell and we don't buy anyone else. Let the stadium build up the coffers for another year.

I am with you in, now and again, taking a break from these pages. The constant flip flopping between 'oh brilliant' and 'isn't he crap' can get quite wearing. ???

Let's judge it on Thursday - nobody has been sold that we don't want to leave as yet.
We have a really decent midfield with goals everywhere.
Got one of the best keepers in the league and a ball playing centre half.

Young squad and a couple more ins, we will be in good shape - start moaning on Thursday if we sell 2-3 and bring nobody in - personally I think we will be fine.

All of this makes me sick to my stomach. I honestly thought it was a wind up when I read that Armstrong news.

I would seriously boycott the stadium if they sell. Some players are fair game like Ndiaye for £80m, but not Armstrong and not to them.

If the books need balancing.. don't sign £40m wingers from Southampton who can't get near the team.

Absolutely pathetic.

But all is good, effing Kenny Tete the word class RB we have chased all summer is coming in. How did we fend off the competition?

Seriously, if Harrison goes, what is the point anymore?

There is a limit to what supports can take, I am definitely at that limit.

He's not going, mate.

SARB players always come and go. Some settle straight away, some don't, especially the younger lads. But that's football, it's been the same since the game began.

With Armstrong, the board have basically corrected a mistake. If they didn't fully understand Everton fans before, they definitely do now.

Ili looks set to leave, but it also looks like at least three players are coming in, maybe more. So let's stay calm, sit back, and hope the progress off the pitch matches what we've already seen on it - because on the pitch, we've definitely moved forward.

The constant hour to hour news bites coming from unreliable journalists is very wearing. Let's wait until the window closes to see the full picture. Only a few days to go.

Thank god. I get players need to settle, but we aren't in a position to sign those players. We need players who are ready to contribute. Other clubs do it every single season, but for some reason Everton is a special case where players don't settle.

Rayan was 30m from Brazil, and looks twice the player Dibling is, for example. I don't mind selling Ndiaye for a fortune. He is exactly the model we should be following, bought for £20m, sold at £80m. And settled. immediately.
