One recognised striker, one recognised LB and one recognised RB. Let's just hope we don't pick up any injuries or suspensions, because we've got absolutely no depth.
We went into the final day knowing full well that we needed to strengthen the squad because we were already short on numbers. So what do we do? Sell four players and loan another out — including one of our best players — bring in two, and somehow finish the day with four fewer players than we started with.
How does that make any sense?
This recruitment team needs to be held accountable for this absolute farce. Kinnear needs to answer for it, and frankly, they should all be shown the door. There is no excuse for running a football club like this. We've spent the past few months talking about building a proper squad, yet when it actually mattered, we've gone backwards.
Absolutely shambolic.
{Ed025's Note - im gutted OS..

We were under the spotlight yesterday for the whole world to see and we embarrassed ourselves. The recruitment team should be present alongside Moyes at the next presser.
I am certainly not a fan of Moyes, but I would find it in poor taste to put him in front of the camera to answer for those who have just been awful at their job.
I am stunned by our seemingly charitable nature in the market. We have no hardball tactics. We sold a player with three years left on his contract on the last day for arguably £20m less than market value and was scrambling two hours after the deadline to resurrect a deal for a crock. The ins were a guy who wouldn't play for anyone else (well that took some negotiating) and another whose club had to generate funds.
Come on, that's not recruiting, as the need for negotiations was practically non-existent. All I can hope for is that the fans who voiced their disdain at the possible sale of Armstrong double their efforts to let them know they aren't good enough to represent our club. NSNO is slowly being erased from our history and we need to stop this decay before it's gone forever along with a generation of supporters who have seen us lift silverware.
So line those responsible up alongside Moyes and let the press at them in front of the camera so it's there for all to see.

ed did you expect anything else apart from the couple of usual suspects on here who would believe anything we all knew this was going to happen
{Ed025's Note - i did you know Dino and i believed the lies, wanting success so much has left me vulnerable and i succumbed to the rhetoric and spin mate, i feel i am cursed for something i must have done in a previous life that made me an Evertonian..

I seen this coming a month ago. Why do we have to leave it to deadline day every year? They just take the piss out of us and we believe them. It's not this hard to sign players, it really isn't. We choose to do this, it's awful.

To the support on here who believe this has been a good window or we are moving in the right direction, I've a beautiful bridge to sell you.
