After the Balogun fiasco and the reported fee of around 38-40 million for him, why on earth did we not go for Troy Parrot? He cost Betis £16 million with 4 million add-ons, scored the winner against Real Madrid and then scores again in the Champions League tonight.
When are Everton gonna take a chance on a player for god’s sake? His fee was nothing in today’s market. Beggars belief.

What beggars belief is the constant negativity, it is toxic. Whatever praise is uttered (I sense reluctantly) is always tempered with a but. I am off.

Every transfer has an element of risk.
The general consensus on here seemed to be that Parrott was not up to standard, but looks to be doing well. Good luck to him.
I can see us making do with what we have until January. George, Alcaraz, Graham could all do a job for us up top if needed.
Hopefully we'll get the financial backing to bring a few in in January, the squad will be knackered by then. One game at a time, if we can get a result at Spurs, and progress in the EFL Cup next week, we'll have started very well.

Everton need to show some guts, passed up on so many opportunities, not even a sniff, and tons at decent prices.
When they get new blood, they barely play them, not just Moyesy, Dychey too.
The scouting has been rubbish, generally, seems they don't look beyond the Championship, that's a mistake and costing us.
Granted they've been burned, but you have to dig deeper, other teams seem to have much more creativity in their scouting system.
We always get to about 70% strength, but lack in areas. Europe. Dream on, we never have the depth.
