If city are relegated, and now that seems almost inevitable, could they avoid the financial consequences, by going bankrupt.
So that, no club, now player, or even the Premier League, could pursue them for compensation.
If put down to the forth level, they could do what Rangers did in Scotland, and declare them selves as a new entity.

Not sure anything is inevitable when it comes to the Premiership. What I would say is I can't see City getting relegated.

They will get a ban from Europe for a couple years and a fine, watch this space, there will be no points for them to be religated trust me, the premiership won't want there baby weakened by one of the elite getting religated, all the point deductions are for the likes of us so we can't catch them up, you only have to see what they did to chelsea, NOTHING, to no the outcome.

They've broken Premier League rules and so the punishment should impact their involvement in the Premier League.
However large the points deduction, it would only see them go down to the Championship.
Transfer bans could be issued too, but they've invested heavily in great youth players in preparation for this outcome.
The compensation claims are another thing altogether. If the Premier League agree that teams all have a claim, then yes, I'd expect them to declare bankruptcy and begin life lower down the divisions.

They should be demoted to the lowest league same as what happened to Glasgow Rangers.

I can see them getting a points deduction significant enough to confine them to relegation. I don't think they can be put any lower than that as it's a Premier League issue which might mean that outside of the natural relegation path there's little any other league can do to accommodate.
My ire is when a club fails to admit it's brazen conduct despite other clubs like ourselves NF and Leicester complying.
If there was a way to boot them down further then I'd be all for it! Because they are cheats and there's no getting away from that fact.

If they do what they did to Rangers then City will just be back in a few seasons.
They have cheated the system, gained a hell of a lot of money and status, built a huge infrastructure with a world class academy and an international revenue stream which means they will still bring in hundreds of millions.
There is no punishment they can give to set them back to before they broke the rules. They can take away their titles, give them a huge points deduction, kick them out the footballing pyramid and fine them into bankruptcy but it won't make a difference; the damage has been done.

They will have to relegate City and also have other severe penalties attatched. Nothing to do with doing the right thing but if you want to win back confidence with regulators, investors and sponsorships, then you have to clean house. People won't invest in the Premier League if you can get away with corruption and sponsors won't want their name associated with it either. Plus we also have the new TV deal coming soon which will be possibly damaged by City.
This is a mess. The EPL should have dealt with this years ago and due to their delay, they look incompetent. They now have the gov down their throats and the reason Chelsea, Forrest and us got punished was because they were turning their gaze towards the league.
There is more pain to come from all this and there are also other clubs who are going through a process similar to City in the background that haven't been brought up yet.
