Solid backup, low cost with PL experience. I can’t imagine being a keeper, knowing I’m likely second fiddle. Any peripheral outfield player will get a sniff at the pitch.

I would rather play second fiddle on 40k a week than play every week for 20k a week. But that's just me thinking two years million quid kerching!

Travers must have been made aware of Bournemouth buying a new keeper from Chelski and weighed up playing Second fiddle to that guy, who they've clearly chosen to replace him given he's cost in thevregion of £25mil, or be second to England's number one with a world cup looming. He's still young for a keeper and will learn a lot from Pickford.
