El bobble saying we have inquired about grealish be a loan with no buy if i'm right be good addition if he wants join everton but he's on massive wages so that's going to be a problem heard anything on this one ed 025 mate.
{Ed025's Note - only that he is up for joining us Andy, wages will be a problem of course mate but hopefully City will contribute on that front..

Not sure why we should worry about how we pay him, I doubt if the existing owners and management will allow us to get into the financial mess of the Moshiri ira.
The main question is "will he be beneficial to the squad? " I think that it would be great to see him in Everton blue, he has talent and if he wants to get back into the England squad he has to show his class. We need players like him to attract other talented players. His possibility of going us excites me much more than the likes of Vardy and Harrison!

I’m sceptical we will get him Andy. Worried it might be another Dele Alli.

Usually when a big waged player is being shown the door from his parent club, and nobody is stumping up the cash, the parent club subsidises the wage. As a player only view, he'd be very welcome as far as him being a massive talent. Do I believe it'll happen? Would honesty be surprised if he'd drop to our level due to us being the best deal on the table. Would t compare it to Deli as he's fit and doesn't have the same off field turmoil. If he's snapped in the blue, I'd love it.

Grealish is no Ali mate. He is a quality player and having him in the side would give Ndiaye a little more freedom because defenders would have more than one player to worry about.

He is predominantly a LW though. If rumours are to be believed, which they probably shouldn’t, we can’t sign him and Fofana to play with Ndaiye and McNeil on the left. It smells of our number 10 issue a few seasons back when we bought names rather than strengthened in positions we need.
I’m guessing it is all smoke and mirrors. It makes no sense signing LWs when we need RW, RW cover and a RB.
Dele was on big wages and no longer wanted by his parent club. Wasn’t playing, match sharpness gone and he was a mess off the field. We don’t know Grealish’s baggage but he’s not playing and he has been dropped by England also. I still feel this is one to avoid having thought about it more and more.
If he comes, I’d get behind him but I don’t think he’s a Reid or Gray type signing from the 80s though I wish we could get a few of them in.

Grealish was pushed out on to the wing by Pep. His best position has always been as an attacking midfielder given the freedom to roam. We do not have a player in the middle anywhere near his ability. Find it incredible that people think he wouldn't improve us?

Spot on Brassington. Head and Shoulders above what we have. ?.
29 Jul 2025 09:49:53
Spot on BB. Don't know what some fans want. Beggars belief.

I can understand the Dele comparisons but I really do t think it’s the same situation. Grealish was still getting and impacting games for City last season, they just have a massive squad and he’s not guaranteed a starting spot. He’ll want a nailed on position to get into the World Cup squad. He cab play 11 or 10, imagine the interchanging with Ndayie. Yes please.
29 Jul 2025 10:10:39
In what world would we not want a £100 million pound player in our squad?! His stock may have dropped a little due to lack of game time, but Grealish has buckets of talent and with a world cup coming up, a lot to prove. With him in our squad we can expect flair, excitement and a fighting chance of scoring more regularly. Sign him up please.
29 Jul 2025 10:57:47
He is on a different level to our squad, even ndaiye which shows how good he is. Imagine the both of them interchanging we would finally have some real attacking threat from the midfieldBB is spot on no idea what our fans want he would be the best signing we have made in years and if on loan the only risk is him having a blinder and not staying!

If the club have sorted the positions we need players in, it would make it easier to get my head around.
We have limited funds (PSR) and we will likely have to pay over £120k a week to land him. That’s a lot on a player when we have no balance across the pitch with right sided players being a priority. There’s talk of needing a few extra million to sign some players and his wages alone could be the difference. If we had unlimited money like the breakaway six, we could throw money round on players like Grealish. Otherwise, we have to be smart on who we buy or sell of players where we have 3 players in the same position.
Plus, we’ve just signed Alcaraz for CAM with Armstrong as back up. If we are going to overload a position, buy two RWs as we haven’t got one at the moment.

No doubt Grealish is quality, my only worry is his off the field activities, has he grown up/ out of them yet?
29 Jul 2025 14:16:05
Well he's in a long term relationship and has a child. Does that qualify?
29 Jul 2025 14:54:09
He was seen drunk in Manchester and the North East 4 months ago.
Obviously the last straw with Pep.
Now do we believe that's because he can't start/ get enough game time at city and he will knuckle down with us, or is he following the Gascoigne route?
29 Jul 2025 15:58:45
Never been his biggest fan but he'd definitely improve us. And I think the loan option would still leave funds free for that right winger we need.
29 Jul 2025 16:19:56
So he was drunk on an end of season night out. What’s wrong with that?
29 Jul 2025 19:12:34
It wasn’t end of season BMD.
If he comes, he comes. As long as we can still afford to get in a CM, RW and RB and don’t break PSR.
