That’s Ndiaye gone as well now.

{Ed025's Note - after the way he played today I can live with that TB.

Agree3 Disagree5

Only if we invest it wisely. Time to move for Iroala and poach a few from relegated sides for cheap, Bowen and Grealish on the wings for me.

He's been poor since he came back from AFCOM, maybe ManU is on his mind Ed

{Ed025's Note - maybe GB..

17 May 2026 19:26:02
Don't want anymore players who are used to relegation. Want players who are used to winning things. The club has to change the mindset of the team and that starts with the manager.

17 May 2026 20:01:36
That was DM reply as to why he doesn't play Dibling, Anzou etc, not ready.

17 May 2026 21:48:33
I disagree bmd, there have been some brilliant signings from relegated teams in recent years, wasn't there a fair few from that Klopp side relegated? Robertson, Wijnaldum, maybe a few more. I'd take that Diouf at left back as well. He's exactly what is needed, fast, direct and forward thinking.

18 May 2026 08:35:21
Agree to some extent with BMD, we do need to change the mentality of the players we have and bring in quality players to replace those who are clearly not up to it.
However, this all starts with the manager and, in my opinion, we have a manager who has reached his level. He will not move us any further forward than where we are now. His tactics and game management are poor, and after listening to recent interviews, I'm guessing his motivation skills are on the wane.

God knows what he said to the players at half-time yesterday for them to put in that performance.
If Moyes is still in charge next season, then expect more of the same. Mid-table, boring, safe football, with a team full of grafters.

{Ed025's Note - its always going to be square pegs in round holes with Dave im afraid Brass, play the old guard rather than giving the younger players their shot, what have Aznou and Armstrong go to do to get a chance?, all those who are happy to just be safe need to revisit our motto...Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, it does not translate to well happy with just surviving..

18 May 2026 11:09:30
I don't think that a lot of our supporters even know that we have a motto Ed025 mate. I have it tattooed on my arm, but I am very old school.
Something has to change, unfortunately thirty years of mediocrity and no silverware has had a negative effect on all of us.

I used to enjoy watching Everton now it's just a grind. Moyes and his negative tactics just doesn't help.
I was at Wembley in 1995, left the ground full of anticipation and now we are here with nothing since.

{Ed025's Note - yeah Mike im with you there mate, i used to feel really down when we got beat...now im just not arsed to be honest..

18 May 2026 12:13:08
It's not as if you could register your unhappiness by not renewing your season ticket, given there's a long queue just waiting to get a season ticket. We just have shut up, pay and put up with Moyes and his shambles.

18 May 2026 15:56:53
Do you know what Ed I had almost forgotten about Armstrong. I mean what was the point of bringing him back from his loan. Mike I'm with you. Got my tattoo back in the 70's. Motto on one arm and 100% Blue on the other. Lost count of the amount of times I have had to explain it to people.

19 May 2026 17:23:45
I don't get it, lads. Moyes is safe, but isn't that what we need after the last few years? Be careful what you wish for, because look at West Ham! All these new players, new managers, and yet football is poor, and they are going down. If you could get Iraola, I would swap Moyes out. Otherwise I am happy with consolidation and gradual improvement compared to what we have had! Plus, Moyes has had us in Europe, so why does everyone assume he can't do that again? Keep in mind, our best player this season, KDH, was a Moyes signing.

A few more like that, and he will absolutely have us battling for Europe again. This season was too soon, and we would have struggled because squad depth is poor. And, if youngsters were good enough, they would get a chance. Aznou, Harrison, Dibling aren't, otherwise other Premier League teams would be interested, and they're not! They may well be with time, but not yet. In Moyes we trust!

{Ed025's Note - some have different views than you Rich but of course you are entitled to your opinion, i suppose its what you expect of your club mate, for me we are still a big club and should be dining at the top table and Nil Satis Nisi Optimum does not mean be happy with mediocrity, if you are happy with playing 4 center halves in defence and having 2 useless lumps up front rotating even though they are both absolutely useless then good for you, you are obviously happy with the tactics of getting in front in games then sitting back and trying to hang on for dear life but i have to say im not, for me not even trying in cup competition is criminal and playing players who are just not good enough like Tarks, McNeil, Keane and making changes far too late that they have no time to change the outcome does not sit right to me, yes im a moaning old git and im glad we stayed up and Moyes did a good job of doing that i must admit, but if that is the limit of our ambitions then this is not the club i signed up for all those years ago..but each to their own..

19 May 2026 19:01:08
Plus Garner has been my player of the season.

19 May 2026 19:14:58
You have summed things up very well in my opinion Ed.
Like you I really thought we would give it a real good go in the cup games, but not to be.
Don't know why we didn't play Patterson as RB in latter part of season, when he seemed fit as the only proper RB we have, to free up OBrien to play in Central defence.

{Ed025's Note - we all have our own ideas on team selection FG, mine and yours seem similar mate but certainly not our managers..
