This lad is top drawer and would be a great signing. Young, already one of if not the best player in the Championship, with scope to improve and increase his value. Exactly the type of business we should be doing. Let's hope this comes off and we don't drag our heels like we normally do!

Apparently Carrick wants him as well at the Man Utd, but player's preference is us. As you say, let's hope this deal doesn't get scuppered, as he was player of the Championship last season and would be a real coup of a signing for us, as any other clubs are in for him too.

I think he's in the final year of his contract. If that's the case, I would imagine that it would be in the region of £15-£20m.

No idea on the price but he's good on the ball, physically capable and still only 23. We either get our money back, or a big profit in the future. Or we keep a good solid player for 8-9 years.
I think £30m or a bit over in today's market is absolutely fine. I'm a big fan of this signing if it happens.

I can't remember the poster who shouted this transfer up a while back, so forgive me, but he seemed to know a great deal about Hackney.
Mr Poster or whoever else, can you summarise the lad up and his main attributes for us posters that don't know too much about him.

I'm not the poster but it's pretty obvious that he's a ball carrying midfielder. Strong too. Can see a pass and loves a shot at goal. Box to box and can tackle too. Pretty much the real deal for the Championship. Just remains if that can transfer to the PL.
