Picture doing the rounds of Christian Kofane's agent arriving to meet with club staff to discuss a transfer. Could be that this one is more than just paper talk.
{Ed025's Note - but the other day i seen a picture of Donald Trump in a referees kit waving a red card JB, i will believe it when i see him in the Everton kit mate.. :)

His agent actually was at Finch Farm today, so this isn't just someone guessing or passing on a rumour. With Everton having brought him in for a proper meeting, then we're clearly trying to get ahead of the other clubs and push early. You don't invite an agent down unless a bid has already gone in or is about to. This kind of visit is usually where the club talks through the contract, wages, length, and the role they're offering. It definitely feels like we're moving with intent on Kofane rather than just being mentioned in the paper columns.

Sounds promising.

Sure, I saw that on FIFA managerial mode, Optimum. Sometimes it was in a cafe or a restaurant as well as Finch Farm..

Because it's us, we will potentially drop the ball with this one, but if it is true and we actually get him in and sell one of the Chuckle brothers. That would tell me that these new people have a clear idea of what they want to do. Bringing in the likes of Garner & Ndiaye and now Rohl, Hackney and hopefully Kofane.
If they do well for us, with the age they are at, it means we are guaranteed decent money.
Look at the business the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton have done in recent years.
Buying small and selling high.
The fees going around now for a basic midfielder are ridiculous though. It makes me wonder what a Keane, Vieira, Scholes, Lampard or Gerrard would be in today's market.
If Anderson is that price that means Jimmy is at least £75/80m, but personally, I think he's better than Anderson, so I would want more and take the age difference into account.

As long as we don't end up like Newcastle and selling all the players in 2-3 years time, BN. Crazy to think how much they have sold in the last two seasons.

Just watched his reels and it's as though this is what Barry and Beto would be like if their legs and brains were connected and
co-ordinated in some way.

I know, BR. I would feel sorry for them if it wasn't Newcastle, but it is mental how they can't close the gap to the big boys.
They have just signed a young 18 year old from Ajax. They are obviously banking on him being the next De Jong, Sneijder, I imagine.
Spot on there, Big C!
If we go and spunk around 30m on a Pepi or alike, when we could pay 40/45m and get him in, it will be such a poor decision and proof that no lessons have been learned from the past.

Speaking ahead of Bayer Leverkusen's game against Arsenal in the Champions League in March 2026, manager Kasper Hjulmand relayed quite the interesting story.
Hjulmand revealed that after criticising some parts of Kofane, he came back the next day demanding more critiques.
He said: "A few weeks ago, I criticised him a bit in training, and then the next day he came to me and said: 'Please, keep it up. I want more criticism, I want to learn.'
"For me, it's simply impressive that Kofi came to Europe at the end of 2024 and moved here in the summer of 2025 - and how he has developed since then, the way he works, how he adapts and learns."
Exactly what you want to hear.
This lad will have all the attributes that Beto doesn't, but will share his work rate and desire to get better. Would rather have him doing that with us than Leverkusen. I would rather have him doing that with us than sticking with Barry Chuckle.
