Reading that Dibling could be sold for £35 million, which was what we paid apparently and replaced with a player that can actually get into the Team.

Agree4 Disagree0

If we get our money back on him it would be the best piece of business we could ever do! Well, aside from replacing all of our useless scouts who literally only care about if the player has ever played well against Liverpool!

05 Aug 2026 18:45:50
I think it would be absolutely ridiculous to get rid of him. The lad was barely given a minute, and Moyes seemed to exclusively handle him in the way which would damage his confidence the most.

There are plenty of players I would cash in on, but he already proved he is able to play at this level with Southampton.

Let's just give him time.

Plus, we all know that even if we do recoup the money, we'll just go for Jacob Murphy or some other 32 year old past in winger to replace him.

Agree to disagree, Alex. If we can recoup our fee, I'd bite their hand off and buy someone who will actually start games.

05 Aug 2026 19:41:44
I'm with you on that, JB. The powers that be don't reckon he's ready for the Premiership. We get £35 million for him. I'm sure we can find a decent striker.

05 Aug 2026 20:02:39
35 million to where exactly? Can't see who would pay for that

05 Aug 2026 20:11:05
Well, not sure we would get anywhere near 35M for him, and even if we did, you can't get a top player for that amount. I would hope that we would keep him for another season, give him more playing time, preferably not on the wing but in the middle, and assess him then.

05 Aug 2026 20:29:45
Lad has not been given a sniff. I have said it time and time again - 349 minutes of football and most of it without the likes of JB, Gueye, Grealish, KDH & Ndiaye, so basically every decent player we have.

Saw him getting praise in training recently and was seen to be putting some quality balls into the box.

Stupid if we get rid of him. The lad has just turned 20. Any other manager would have handled him better than Moyes.

We will sell him and then people will be crying in a year or two, asking why we sell our young talent.

05 Aug 2026 20:38:09
Minds of "supporters" baffle me at times. Give the young man a bit of time for fecks sake. And, just where do you think you are going to get a top striker for 35m? Oh, I know, let's get someone nobody has ever heard of that works.

05 Aug 2026 20:41:45
There's a rumour he's going to Rangers on loan for a year. Would suit both parties, as Rangers need a right winger and Dibling needs to be playing in a competitive environment, which the SPL is, and he would get European games as well.

05 Aug 2026 21:17:07
Er, there isn't a "rumour" he's going to Rangers. Playing teams like Kilmarnock won't improve his progress in the slightest.

05 Aug 2026 21:25:44
Probably get Richy back for less than 35 million.

05 Aug 2026 22:31:20
I think you can make a case for both options.
Let's face it. In the games he has played, he's not done great, but it's his attitude and body language that also concern me. He looks terrified or lacking in belief.

Now he could get some game time and become a world beater, or he might not.

Look at George, for example, young kid. Also moved to a new club and City, but straight away he seemed involved, positive and more confident and prepared to get involved and he got game time.

Dibbling obviously has talent, but he might not fulfill that just yet.

I would like to keep him and see him given a chance.

But if he flops for another season, then his price reduces further and we become desperate.

If we could get 35m now and bring in someone who we know is ready and also has the ability, then I am afraid I would take it.

I just want to see some decent players playing decent football now. I am desperate, ha, and I don't think us "building for the future" seems to work out too well.

But it's all ifs, buts and maybes, isn't it.

But I think we can all have an opinion without getting judgemental if someone else disagrees, ha.

If, very big if, we are able to recoup even 50% of the ridiculous fee we were conned into paying, we should snatch their hands off, he will never make a premiership player as long as he has a hole in his ass.

06 Aug 2026 09:04:38
Don't you just love the backing we give our young players. It will be young Aidan's turn next, too small, too lightweight, not good enough. Pathetic.

06 Aug 2026 09:40:43
Dibbling has already proven he can cut it in the Premier League. He just hasn't shown it for us yet. I say yet, cause I'm still hopeful he comes good. Whatever the reasons are, whether it's lack of chances or confidence, it's down to Moyes and co to solve it.

Aznou has already shown enough in pre-season to warrant the starting spot ahead of Myko. With a fully fit Branthwaite and Norgaard in the 6 it should be enough cover defensively to play Aznou.

06 Aug 2026 10:22:26
Absolutely ridiculous to think about getting rid of a talented young player like Dibling, we are supposed to be grooming players like Dibling, with a better full back behind him, then he will start to shine and show his true abilities.
