If Everton can get a reasonable loan to buy for Liam Delap, I think we should take it, the lad is getting a bit of stick for how bad it's gone at Chelsea, but I think he could be a proper Everton striker given the opportunity, he probably feels.

He has something to prove, Duncan Ferguson came to Everton in similar circumstances, the fans love taking an outcast in..anybody is free to ridicule this comment if they do so wish, but please make a donation to charity as a form of atonement.

A loan deal is best all round. He really can't be worse than the two we have up top, and if it doesn't work out you send him back, with time running out, I think Delap is looking more likely.

Can he play right back?

I would agree, I think it could be worth a punt. Signing someone who has the physical attributes to compete in the Prem, that has bags of room to improve, that is English and knows the league and some of the players already, and that has a point to prove makes sense to me.

Like mentioned. He's no worse than what we have.

Barry is more promising out of the two, so if we can get rid of Beto and bring in Delap it's an upgrade, I think. How much of an upgrade I don't know.

We need to remember we have no European football to attract teams. All we have is a project and the new stadium, so it's always going to be difficult.

Time is running out so we can't be too picky.

We are back in for Yilmaz, £41 million second bid.

And Richy.

Ricky over Delap all day. He turned us down, so no thanks. He wanted Chelsea, so leave him to rot!

Ricky is definitely not the answer - he's a record holder s just as bad as Barry and Beto - need someone who can actually score.

I really like Yilmaz, just not sure where he will play, unless Ndiaye moves over to the right. Would then have Dibling, George, and Johnson as back up. Midfield well covered, so just need a striker now.

He knows the country and the league and has proven consistently, bar 1 season, that he is not very good at scoring goals.

I don't agree that we can't attract players because we have no Europe. There are plenty of teams that do not have Europe that have been able to bring strikers in.

The likes of Lemperle, Pellegrino, Krstovic, Promise David, Kevin Denkey, would all jump at the chance to move to the PL.

This is what we would be getting:
