Sorry GB, have only just come cross your post on Estéban Lepaul mate.
I personally would like us to go after somebody younger than him that has a higher ceiling. His age doesn't put me off but he has spent a lot of years cutting his teeth in French football and has only had 1 standout season but has also started this season in decent form, earning a French call-up as a result.
If we were to get him, it would certainly be an upgrade for us. Perhaps what is most appealing about him is that his profile is built around movement in the penalty area, anticipation, instinctive finishing and finding space before the ball arrives, rather than relying on individual skill to fashion chances. If we had the likes of a Lepaul on the end of the chances that have fallen to Barry, we would likely have more points on the board. He reminds me of Jelavic in that he has the ability to read the flight of the ball and position himself to finish with one touch.
Kofane from Leverkusen would be one that excites me mate, although his price may be a bit to steep/unreasonable for us to make a move. Perhaps a cheaper alternative would be Antonio Raimondo of Frosinone. Still very raw but looks to have all the tools to be a successful PL striker.

I am begining to wonder if, come the January window, TFG, desides they are not going to back the club in the market, why put big money into a project you have desides to off load?
I seriously hope I'm wrong, but their agenda has, it now seems, always been about the money.
I make no secret that i neither like or trust them, they have strung us along, just long enough to do the restructuring, and get out with their nice fat profit.

If kofane is the one we should go get him moneys not a problem anymore cause if manc can do it then why can't we just get a couple of dodgy Arabs in and a smartass accountant and were good to go let's start spending a billion quid we don't have seems to be all the rage.

It would make very little sense for TFG to
Invest any money in the squad before selling up. Our only hope is for a quick sale.

Depends, if we don't strengthen then start tumbling down the league then our value could drop. For the sake of spending say 30/40m and getting into Europe they could potentially double that when selling.

I thanks BN mate ireckon money will be available in Jan it makes sense to stay as high up as we can if only we had a decent striker we could be in the top three.

TFG sorted us out financially and made us stable with better rates for our debts we are now financially safe with a world class stadium that we own.
They need to raise money for romas new stadium hence selling us.

Isn't he under 6ft? Moyes won't go for him - he wants a giant upfront to win all those headers and second phase balls.
