If the Frekins are as smart as many previously said, how come now the story seems to be that the reason for the sale, is that they grossly underestimated the need for investment to fully rebuild the club.
On it's face, new stadium, large fan base, would seem to offer massive potential, so please, someone please explain, why they suddenly got cold feet?

I have no expertise in this, but i think they saw us as a business - and understood what was needed to balance some books, mitigate some debts, finish the stadium etc. but didn't realise just how much went into taking a Prem team from relegation threatened to Europe.
Add on top of that that the fans were pretty furious at basically everything they did, i don't blame them for realising it's a lost cause and wanting out.

Maybe after what happened to city and seeing how bad the Premier League is run, they now realize that they cannot over spend and invest in the squad, to be honest if I was a billionaire a football club in the Premier League is the last thing I would invest in at the moment.

Or maybe they realised what a mug Moshiri was and how they could turn a quick profit. More money towards Roma's new stadium.

They bought the club to flip it. They've never set foot in it and never intend to. Romas their baby and we were a side hustle.

You get better value for money in scudetto series a wages aren't as high transfer fees are lower less agents taking 20%and the Premier League is so overrated full of cheats n fly by nights that's probably why.
