Maybe RM wants a big sorry from the board for not backing him weeks ago and insists Leighton packs his bags and carries them to the taxi?
Basically the manager wants his cake and eat it too!
He has failed once again in the PL and sent a team freefalling yes we are to all intents and purposes in relegation mode!

I hope so Murf we are becoming a laughing stock, If we are a 'big club' then the demands from the board to the manager and team should be for success either provide it or I will find someone that can! For to long we have muddled our way accepting mediocrity living on our history, He has had more backing financially than those before so it brings the pressure at this level.

as far as I understand it Martinez signed a 4mill, 5 year contract in 2014 so it has 3 years to run. so unless the board put a performance clause in there, if they sack him they will be breaking his contract and would have to pay up his entire contract I'm probably wrong and I have no actual legal knowledge on the matter just don't see the point in a contract if you can just break it and not have to pay it up. By the way not saying for a minute he deserves to walk away with 12 mil in his back pocket for what he's done these past 2 years but a contract is a contract.
