I'm not going to sit here and say Martinez was a tactical genius or that he shouldn't have left the club but the way the fans have acted over the past 6 months has been a real embarrassment. As a life long Everton fan one of the greatest feelings in the world is being at Goodison with the 'classy' fans that we are getting behind the manager and squad no matter what the situation! But It's been sickening to see the fans who I consider the greatest in the world reacting in such ridiculous ways! So to read people's posts thanking him and wishing his family well is comical. As for the fans who have since the take over condemned Bill Kenwright are a joke you should be thanking the man who saved this club from being a complete embarrassment!

Hi Ed and robbo1878 ditto mates, some of the so called fans and posters on here are talking out their rearends and are an absolute disgrace, Bill has been a fantastic chairman a true blue and a gentleman in every sense of the word, will be good to get back to some form of normality, ps Ronald Koeman for me, GuernseyBlue.

Gents agree totally about bk. i can't say a bad word about the man and disagree with any negatives I hear. Wrt to Roberto, I think some of tha antics have been terrible. BUT. you have to look at it from the fans perspective. He said he had no plan b, did mot work on defensive duties, set pieces, played players out of position unnecessarilly, played same formation regardless of opponents and their tactics, blamed players, games, competition committments, inconsistent behaviour towards players (lukaku and Baines) , dropped form players When they was no reason (mirrallas at season start and delufeo when uninjured, Naismith after Chelsea hatrick) , made bizarre substitutions (stones for besic against arsenal when 2-0 down) . in my opinion he had ample opportunities to turn things around and appease the fans and find a plan b and c, but he was so arrogant and bias towards a philosophy that never worked. quite frankly u can understand why some people behaved how they have. even if I disagree with it I understand. Ultimately I'm happy that he's gone. he would have received a Nice payoff and will undoubtedly be back in footy. but nil satis nisi optimum. he was not.

I have not given RM abuse or anything of the kind and didn't like when I seen people crossing the line in this regard.

I agree with every word Jcl1878 says. Pretty much 99% of the way I look at the negatives of RM reign. It hasn't been all bad there have been some positives.

When all is said and done I have nothing personal against RM and I do in fact wish him the best in the future. It didn't work out for him at Everton doesn't mean I don't want him to well somewhere else.

Hope he does well if he returns to Spain or wherever his next adventure might take him.

Same here NBTB. Was just a job too far for him. No one like to see people struggle and as everyone says, he is a nice man, so good luck in whatever job you take Bobby.
