Once O'Neil gets the push from celtic and it won't be long then moyes will be up there quicker than a rat up a drainpipe next international break I'm sayin.

Hmm didn't go for the Scotland job.

Rohl RW over George, Dibling and Johnson.

Why any young attacker comes to Everton is beyond me.

1

17 Oct 2026 11:38:48
He's basically gone for two right backs. I'm surprised he didn't play Travers up top 🙄.

17 Oct 2026 14:42:54
the fact he took one off as soon as we scored confirms his only ambition was a draw.

2

16 Oct 2026 13:40:01
Make City owners sell up to TFG (with incentives) then City owners (investment fund) buy Everton.

0

16 Oct 2026 18:36:24
I don't believe that it makes any difference how wealthy an owner may be, look at Newcastle. You have to cheat like Chelsea and City to make headway. If the City investment fund purchased Everton they would be audited every five minutes, with City every ten years.

2

17 Oct 2026 08:37:01
Exactly, Mike. The system has been so rigged now that we may as well have Bill back and it would make no difference.

The elite are given infinite funds, and the rest of us are hamstrung and ruthlessly punished for any sign of ambition.

1

17 Oct 2026 11:27:42
But why do the rest of the teams in the prem accept it.

0

17 Oct 2026 11:45:58
Who says they do. You need 14 clubs to agree. Which club from City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal would vote against to provide the majority. These are locked in and would only have to convince one more and the whole thing is in their favour.
FA know how to look after its revenue so it'll never be about fair play.

Weren't the two big rich Everton fans George someone and another guy going to form a consortium with the guy who owns Dell computers last time and try to buy us but the whole 777 debacle and then Toaster or whatever his name was before TFG arrived and saved us.

I read that they're both potential buyers but would need financing. I also read that Stavely wasn't in the running might have been in the ℹ️ paper.

0

15 Oct 2026 21:45:34
Andy Bell, owner of AJ Bell is one of them. Evertonian, billionaire. George Downing is the Dell link. There was talk around the time of 777 (I still have nightmares) but I don't know how serious they were or how much money they actually have.

0

16 Oct 2026 12:20:15
Let's jus hope it's not AJ Bells wife going in a consortium with Stavaley as that really will be Halloween come early lol 🤭.

Hey Ed I'm reading that sanctions on certain Russian individual's are trying to be lifted and Usmanov now wants to buy Everton, any info mate.

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i cant see that to be honest GB, that would open a massive can of worms mate not only in football circles but in political ones as well..

2

14 Oct 2026 10:23:40
Some stability would be nice, we want owners/investors that are looking to stay for at least 10 years and continue building a legacy at the new stadium. Finances will continue to improve and so we should be an attractive proposition. I still think a consortium with a focal point that understands the club would work well, Evertonians want an Evertonian involved to some extent.

1

14 Oct 2026 12:21:22
Amen to that JB that's exactly what we need.

16 Oct 2026 13:41:13
Lifted by the EU but not by the UK.

Reading there are two potential buyers for Everton at the moment one is Amanda Staveley and the other an American equity company, would like this sorted before the next transfer window.

2

13 Oct 2026 14:06:14
Amanda Staveley has been desperately trying to buy any club that goes up for sale. There's something there that's not quite right, and I'm not talking about how her face is arranged 🤪.

2

13 Oct 2026 15:23:54
She's still after West Ham apparently.

0

14 Oct 2026 16:15:36
She is an asset stripper for the highest bidder.

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - that's not true. She is nothing of the sort. She builds consortiums to buy things, recently that has been football clubs. She is a facilitator who leads the way and does the deals.}

3

14 Oct 2026 16:32:27
If her role in this is as it was at Newcastle then she's simply a fixer.

1

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - exactly.}

2

14 Oct 2026 17:47:18
Hey Ed, is it likely that she is being prompted by her Middle East connections?
Thanks in advance, mate.

Sorry GB, have only just come cross your post on Estéban Lepaul mate.

I personally would like us to go after somebody younger than him that has a higher ceiling. His age doesn't put me off but he has spent a lot of years cutting his teeth in French football and has only had 1 standout season but has also started this season in decent form, earning a French call-up as a result.

If we were to get him, it would certainly be an upgrade for us. Perhaps what is most appealing about him is that his profile is built around movement in the penalty area, anticipation, instinctive finishing and finding space before the ball arrives, rather than relying on individual skill to fashion chances. If we had the likes of a Lepaul on the end of the chances that have fallen to Barry, we would likely have more points on the board. He reminds me of Jelavic in that he has the ability to read the flight of the ball and position himself to finish with one touch.

Kofane from Leverkusen would be one that excites me mate, although his price may be a bit to steep/unreasonable for us to make a move. Perhaps a cheaper alternative would be Antonio Raimondo of Frosinone. Still very raw but looks to have all the tools to be a successful PL striker.

I am begining to wonder if, come the January window, TFG, desides they are not going to back the club in the market, why put big money into a project you have desides to off load?
I seriously hope I'm wrong, but their agenda has, it now seems, always been about the money.

I make no secret that i neither like or trust them, they have strung us along, just long enough to do the restructuring, and get out with their nice fat profit.

2

13 Oct 2026 06:44:42
If kofane is the one we should go get him moneys not a problem anymore cause if manc can do it then why can't we just get a couple of dodgy Arabs in and a smartass accountant and were good to go let's start spending a billion quid we don't have seems to be all the rage.

1

13 Oct 2026 07:21:09
It would make very little sense for TFG to
Invest any money in the squad before selling up. Our only hope is for a quick sale.

0

13 Oct 2026 08:50:16
Depends, if we don't strengthen then start tumbling down the league then our value could drop. For the sake of spending say 30/40m and getting into Europe they could potentially double that when selling.

3

13 Oct 2026 12:43:03
I thanks BN mate ireckon money will be available in Jan it makes sense to stay as high up as we can if only we had a decent striker we could be in the top three.

0

13 Oct 2026 16:12:06
TFG sorted us out financially and made us stable with better rates for our debts we are now financially safe with a world class stadium that we own.
They need to raise money for romas new stadium hence selling us.

1

13 Oct 2026 22:56:49
Isn't he under 6ft? Moyes won't go for him - he wants a giant upfront to win all those headers and second phase balls.

0

11 Oct 2026 19:31:45
No two ways about it Barry was at fault again today 4 glorious chances of taking all three points and once again blows it, please please please Father Christmas bring me a half decent striker for Christmas.

8

11 Oct 2026 20:45:12
He wasn't the only one at fault.

2

11 Oct 2026 20:45:40
You are correct GB but we let in two very preventable goals. We have spent years looking for a right-back and I thought that we had found one especially after that spectacular goal but unfortunately Maitland-Niles made several errors today. We need to sort out the defense before the next game.

2

11 Oct 2026 21:11:08
He was thought of as less able defending but much better going forward. The misplaced pass and the ridiculous back heel cost us and you can't do that at this level and not get punished. Same for our second goal - their player threw the CB a howler off a pass which resulted in Barry scoring.

Should have scored 3 or 4 today.

1

11 Oct 2026 21:33:54
That's always been AMN's issue, BR. He's technically good, and has adapted well enough to being a RB, but his concentration and decision making is poor.

Saw a load of Lyon fans saying that they like him but just can't handle the mistakes anymore and were happy to see him go to us.

Moan moan moan, Oh please roll over for Everton😴😴😴. 2-2 Hulls first goals conceded at home, Barry 4th goal in 6. Slagging Dewsbury off, yet he was MoM. Unbeaten in 6.

5

12 Oct 2026 10:16:11
This is a discussion site and people are discussing what they watched yesterday. Hull where there for the taking and as usual we blew it with some abysmal defending. Why you think us scoring two goals against them is some sort of achievement is baffling, they will concede many as the season progresses.

Barry should have had at least three goals, and if we are really being honest prior to his goal KDH was having a poor game with many of his passes being off the mark. Unbeaten in six but you could also say only won two from six.
If you were happy with yesterdays performance then fine, I wasn't.

2

12 Oct 2026 12:24:56
Your right BB and I wasn't happy either with our performance yesterday we can do far better, and bet DM wasn't either, I will continue to post what ever I feel is going wrong in the Team or what is going right, silly little quips will be ignored, really happy with 5 th place but we all know we could be so much better some tough games coming up and can't afford to throw points away like we did yesterday.

1

12 Oct 2026 18:58:17
Delighted with 5th as you say GB.

Surprised KDH got MOTM. Thought he was average.

We definitely need Barry to sort himself out a bit. Yes, he scored a goal but could, and should have finished at least another one.

Could and should have won.

But happy with 5th. Who isn't?

13 Oct 2026 06:16:37
BB: 'Why you think scoring 2 goals against them is some sort of achievement, is baffling!

After great thought BB here is my answer:

If we hadn't scored two goals against them, we would have lost.

0

13 Oct 2026 12:44:40
He's pointing out we are the only Team this season to have scored on their ground, blimey.

1

11 Oct 2026 17:29:42
One of you guys is an accountant. If we assume that we are sold for close to 1Billion pounds what impact will that have on the clubs finances both short and long term and will it impact what we can afford to spend on players?

0

11 Oct 2026 21:12:29
I once went into a bank so I can handle this

We'd have more money than now.

You're welcome.

2

11 Oct 2026 22:40:24
Very good of you BR, as Ed002 used to say, can you explain that?

0

12 Oct 2026 09:25:02
As Ed002 actually said, why bother our heads about it. As long as I have enough for a beer match day is my scope.

11 Oct 2026 12:22:41
Hey BlueNose what's your take on Estaban Lepaul a striker playing for Rennes he's getting heavily linked with us today, any info mate.
