Bloke next to me has a pop every home game, referees' a prat, Moyes has no clue etc! He would swap the Ref at the drop of a hat; but not Moyes. Question: Who would the Moyes out brigade choose to replace him? More to the point who would come. We will not get relegated, we will finish top ten/ not far off.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm not a Moyes fan and admit it. I prefer to think "where will we be in 5 years under Moyes", as apposed to "where could we be in 5 years if we had gone for a manager that lesser clubs have and are now doing better than us".

You are correct on your first point, we won't be relegated, but I think wrong on your second point, we won't be top 10. But what do I know. I have more success forecasting horses.

Until January apart from changing the Team at the front or bringing in an under 21 things will stay the same with Beto and Barry up front, Davey is the best man for the job.

I'd rather have Mike Bassett than Moyes.

Whenever people mention changing the manager the standard reply is always who would come. Well I believe plenty would be interested. We have a new ground, have new owners who have shown they are keen to invest and can pay top wages for the right man.

And football managers are just like the rest of us money talks.
Some have mentioned the Bourmouth manager and questioned why would he come to us. Well we would pay him more, give him a healthy transfer budget, and have far more potential going forward.

Big Reg it takes all sorts.

Moyes is best man for the job at the moment cut him some slack let’s not start binning managers again because we hit some poor form.

Always liked the look of Iraola’s teams since they beat us 3-2 the other season.

I feel Moyes is still the man for the job but it’s so frustrating that he doesn’t have the ability to change tactics when we need it and stubbornly sticks to what his one system is. If you don’t have the players for that system, you have to adapt. Moyes seems to prefer sticking to swapping like for like despite some players having no impact.

Iraola is heading to bigger places than Everton.

I also don’t see how we have far more potential going forward, Bournemouth have a better team than us, a young squad, they will likely lose Semenyo in the summer and they’ll probably replace him well. They lost most of their defence in the summer and replaced them just as well.

It’s an absurd arrogance with some Everton fans that we are looked at as a giant of football by everyone. We have some old players, financially we’ve had troubles and cannot freely spend what we like, a new stadium that is usually very quiet and our best players will be picked off over the next 2 years and, unlike Bournemouth or Brighton, we are not well run enough to replace them and will likely buy worse in return.

If Iraola did anything more than laugh at us coming in for him, I’d be amazed. Slot will be getting sacked soon and if someone has a choice between us and them, unless you’re an Evertonian, you’ll pick them.

Full of positivity then Swan.

But what did I say that was wrong? Right now Bournemouth are far better than us and Liverpool are a more attractive job than Everton are.

Can’t understand why a minority of supporters are wanting Moyes out, he has turned the club around after the destruction of Dyche, we would of been relegated, his passion for the club saved us from the drop, He knows, we know, everyone with a brain cell knows what’s needed in the January window, if he gets what he wants then a top 6 could be possible, at least not fighting relegation.

30 Oct 2025 10:24:47
You people were saying the same about Dyche and look were that ended up.

30 Oct 2025 11:27:25
At least we stayed up mate.

30 Oct 2025 12:39:06
Yes and the same was said when Dyche kept us up GB. So are we just happy with managers who “just keep us up” or do we actually want one who can develop a side to compete at the top end of the table?

What are people’s thoughts on Glasner?

I’m not saying we get rid of Moyes as we need the stabilit. But if things did go Pete Tong, would he be a good fit? I’d still prefer Iraola but I agree he will likely be waiting for a top Euro side.
