Thought Gana was immense first half, but started to fade second half. We had Tim and Rohl on the bench, didn’t use either of them. In fact, out of the three we made, two were forced on us, and bringing Barry on when he is clearly not up to it was baffling.
As for the after match press conference, to say we lost to a team used to winning trophies and gave them a good run for their money.

What the heck does that mean?
If you always see yourself as second best then you will be second best. Sick of being the “well we had a go” team.

Gana and a good few others seem unable to keep their fitness levels for 90 minutes, or, as the case today, 111 minutes. Surprised as you were that other subs went used today, can only assume DM thinks they are not what’s needed to win the game, mate.

That's Moyes's go to comment after a defeat by a top 6 club, "we gave them a run for their money." I'm as bored with that as I am in losing to them.

That is why, under Moyes, we will always be a mid-table team. Compared with previous seasons, that's fine for some, but not for me.
Beto is not the best, but bringing on Barry is baffling, to say the least, and presumably McNeil was playing instead of George because he is better defensively. So McNeil immediately presents them with the first goal opportunity. Neither of these players should be anywhere near the team.
When they got that corner you just knew that they would score and who would head it in.

That's what kills you as an Evertonian, and until we get a manager and a team that is capable of repeatedly reversing this trend, then we will have to put up with mid-table mediocrity.
I was hoping that Moyes would be the man to do it, but his words, tactics and substitutions indicate that he might not be that man.
Europe is still within our reach, but the season could have been so much better.

Chris Sutton said last week on Football Focus if Everton had a decent center forward they would be a couple of places further up league. All the teams around us and above us have 1 or even 2 decent forwards.

Beto would not be a starter for me, yes he runs, yes he tries, I love the guy and wish he was decent, but we need better. And Barry can just go for me, can't stand him, get whatever we can for him.

Word perfect there, Bmd. Word perfect.

Maybe I am in the minority here, but for me McNeil and Kdh should have come off. As Bmd said, we had Tim and Rohl ready to come on. Move Jimmy into the 10. He is a better footballer than anyone in the team and people forget, he had arguably his best season in that position, albeit in the Championship.

Bring Tim or Rohl next to Idrissa.

No imagination to change the team. You see that with the same starting 11 week after week, even though McNeil was shocking away at Brentford.

Moyes baffles me. Could see players were getting leggy, but mo changes. He has stabilised us, made us forget about relegation & seen us through the always difficult task of moving to a new ground. However, I think the Freidkins will be looking at other options come the summer. If they're going to invest to build a squad capable of challenging, then we need a manager who can change tactics & personel mid game.

Unfortunately, DM isn't that man.

On the upside, it's a lot nicer moaning about not qualifying for Europe over praying we get enough points to stay up.

Thought Idrissa looked knackered as well, tbh, and what's happened to young Armstrong?

Move Moyes upstairs and get the Bournemouth manager Iroalo, or however you spell it.
