Well we have signed three players for over 60 million pounds combined. Rohl and George were not new, and Hackney was a known entity, and if he ever gets a game we will know if he is any good.
Now it is well known, at least to the supporters, that we have needed a right-back and a striker for years. Plenty of speculation, both in the press and on here, but no action.
The question is "How much more money do we have for transfers"? Do we need to sell to recruit? Do we actually have a recruitment team and scouts?
OK we still have time but if we get a few in at the end of the window they are unlikely to start right away given Moyes' reluctance to give new players a game before they become integrated into the team, Hackney being a prime example.
So anyone expecting major changes in the team that finished last year to start the new year (apart from the injured) is likely to be disappointed.
Come on Everton prove me wrong!
{Ed025's Note - i really hope they do Mike..

Plenty of time to do that, mate.

Yes, we need strikers and a right back and a few more, but I still think our biggest problem is the manager.

GB, we got Hackney in early. He has been left out of two pre-season teams. Plenty of time to do what? The first game of the season is 22nd August. Three weeks to recruit and get the player match fit and integrated into the squad, given Moyes' history with new players.

Yes, Skylark, but we have no reason to believe he will be replaced. I just hope and pray that he changes his tactics. Miracles do happen, so I'm told.

Manager is the biggest problem for me.
