Givern we now have a number of good midfield options, I would be happy to play Garner at right back.
The England midfield set up, with Rice & Anderson being very hard to shift, playing right back seems to offer him a much better chance of breaking into the England side.

Couldn't care less about where England play him in all honesty, AD. He is better in midfield so we should be playing him there, although he can do a job at right back. We need to bring in someone for that position and get away from playing square pegs in round holes.

As BP said, I couldn't give two sh**es if England decide to play him or not.
I want him where he is best for us and that is 100% in the middle of the park. He was phenomenal for the first 4/5 months of the season.
I think he ran out of gas because he was picking up too much slack.
Hopefully he recovers well from his injury and we see him back to his best.

I see both sides of this, he is a better cm than rb currently, however, he has all the attributes to be a really top rb. It's not for us to think about his international possibilities, but it is he's, and he may feel it is a better option for him.
We are also very well stacked in cm.

I said last month that Garner should be our RB. The comment didn't get much support on here, but I stand by it, even more so now that we've reinforced the midfield area.

I think he plays better at rightback than most rightbacks. I'd play him there, then alternate between Jimmy and Merlin for midfield, so then Obrien goes into centre with Branthwaite and play Aznou leftback. So we already have 2 quality rightbacks in Jimmy and Merlin who can both play midfield, good options to have. So we really need another leftback to sort the defence out.

Recruitment need to pull their finger out and sort the issue that has plagued us for the last two seasons.

Put him at Rb and we would have one for the season. Then he would think f*** this, I am off, and go and sign for Newcastle, Villa, or United and start in the middle for them.
