Really hope Aznou is our starting LB this season. Also think Armstrong and George are pushing for starting spots.

Think Aznou and George could become a good combination on the left. Sort out the full back for the right, and we then could have two solid wide attacking options.

Ed, I get you're not a Moyes fan but we could be getting a very exciting young team/squad together.
I get the fear that Myko and OBrien will be starting Fb's but I don't see it, hopefully Aznou and Munoz, however if we don't get a rb in Rohl, Garner are strong fullbacks
{Ed025's Note - i like some of the stuff we have done BB but i cant believe we have not addressed the RB and striker issues mate, i know there is still time of course but putting square pegs in round holes does not work for me, Jake is a centre half and Jimmy and Merlin are midfielders and im not sure Garner would hang around if he is used as a makeshift right back, the forward issue is also a major worry as well and although Barry put in a decent shift yesterday him and Beto are not the answer and that concerns us all i think, do we really want to watch hoofball this season and try and get 1 up then defend for our lives?...that is my problem with Moyes but of course that is a personal view and i respect other people that think different..

Is this the same DM you speak of who played and signed Baines and Pienaar on the left and academy product Hibbo with a young signing Coleman on the right? Change the record, lads. Let's see where we are at by Xmas, giving the guy 2 full summers (which is what any fair minded football fan should offer) to build a side from the ashes of being a club that could only sign old has beens and sold out its academys. The winter window will then be around the corner, and if we are doing ok, I expect he will have earned the right to finish his 2 years. If by early December we are in the stuffing, he will be gone and then we can start all over again. But for the love of the game, and to keep away the Alzheimers, let's try and make an original post once a week.
It's been a long hot summer, I get it. You didn't like him, you didn't want him. You've said it a 1000 effin times. Give it a go, you might cheer up a bit. Certainly would shock some of us, but you can do it, can't you? If all the last 6 seasons you'd be forced to watch again, only a plonker would not pick last season. By far the one season with hope and possibilities of looking up and dreaming. It went to s***, but we were in with a mathematical chance on the last 2 games. The squad isn't yet finalised this window and will still have obvious weaknesses, but it's likely the best squad we've had since before the FM era. It's time to shut up and get in the mood for supporting your club.

Progress has to be measured on two fronts, the first being has the squad been improved? I think we have to agree that, on paper, this looks like the best group we've had in a while. Obviously, there are few positions that need urgent attention, but we do still have time in this window to rectify that.
The second being has the football improved? This is harder to answer right now as the season is yet to start. I don't believe that you get much of an idea through the friendlies in pre-season.
The first few games are always geared towards general and match fitness. It is also an exercise in getting the new signings in sync with the other players. Time will tell on this one.
It was always going to take a few windows to get a decent squad together, especially with our previous financial woes. It wasn't too long ago that we lost up to 13 players in one summer, so I think we are moving in the right direction.

Moyes is in the final year of his contract so is coaching for his future at the club.
If Tfg have any ambition, they will have conveyed to him the minimum league position expected to be given a new contract.
Moyes will therefore have to get more goals from the squad & a better style of football.
He has George, Hackney & Ndiaye alongside Jimmy, KDH & Noorgard. That can be a frightening attacking option for any club to face this season.
Yes, we need a RB, but I think Merlin will have to drop in there if one can't be found. Aznou has to be starting LB with Branthwaite & O'Brien at CB. Obviously, Pickers in goal, which just leaves striking options. I would definitely test the water with Richie. It's amazing how injuries clear up when you're at the club you love.
It can be a catalyst year if Moyes takes the brakes off & goes for it. Let's wait & see.

Stephen Naismith will be the next Scotland manager. DM is in the middle of a project with the mighty Blues and would never leave for the Scotland job. Sry to disappoint the majority of you on this site.

I did as well to be honest Ed but I don't know how he's doing as a coach/manager.
I know I'm the only one or few on here, but I honestly believe we're up for great season this season coming (JG or not) , I still think we'll do well. A rb would definitely help
