Friend of mine just told me that Moyes might get the chop in the summer as our current owners are not happy with his current brand of conservative style football and home form as well, not sure whether this is true or not but also told that if he goes Grealish will not be joining either!

My friend told me we were going to get Guardiola, and sign Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
But he knows feck all about football?♂️.

Cant see that. Made that mistake with Big Sam and went down hill after that. Need to build gradually, so players want to come to a stable club, then go for Pep.

Don't get Skylark excited Elvis lol.

Would be little surprise if they parted ways with Moyes in summer as he possibly has taken us as far as he can.
Imagine a decision will be taken end of season when we know exactly where we finish in the league.
However would suggest the poor home form coupled with the abject cup exits won’t have been seen positively by the owners.
The lack of movement in this window potentially feeds into that suggesting the club don’t want to buy any players a new manager may not want.

Top 10 and it will be considered progress, I agree.

Top 10 would be very good, would be happy with that, couple more windows and who knows.

It wouldn’t be a massive surprise if they did. He’s done the job he was asked to do, but most would agree that it’s not the brand of football we want for the future.

May be controversial with this, but whilst top 10 would be seen as an improvement on previous seasons, with the league being so poor this year with only 12pts between 4th and 16th is it that much of an achievement to finish top 10?
Appreciate we’re in a transition phase but we should really be trying to finish higher than top 10 the way the league is this season - with so many underperforming this is an excellent chance to get European football.
Would argue we’re not ready for it, but reckon next season it won’t be as an easy opportunity as it appears this one.

At the beginning of this season if asked I bet everyone on here would have been happy to be in the top ten at the end mate.

Think your right Dan.

I've said it a few times here, i think a good move would be to get him a better/ younger assistant. I know Irvine has been with Moyes for eons, and i'm not suggesting sacking him, but getting someone in that team who is actually tactically acute and ambitious, who can try and force Moyes out his old ways, while also being groomed to replace him.
I know Bainesy is already part of the team, but i've not seen anything from him to suggest he has any unique ideas, and the longer he is with Moyes, the less unique ideas he will have.
I've long championed Carlsey for that role, but i'm sure he's not the only one.

GB definitely at the start of the season we’d all have taken top 10.
However the way the season is playing out with so many teams in and around each other and Europe being a realistic possibility for so many teams I think it’s only realistic to change expectations.
This appears to be the easiest season in ages for a team to get a European spot based on there being such a small points difference between so many teams in and around those spots.
Surely you the eternal optimist can see that a European spot is there for the taking?

If it was true and Moyes was given the chop then I'd like to see a manager who doesn't just play names and fees. Someone who will dare to put a youth player in if current players aren't performing.
Poor Anzou comes on in only appearance and changes the game against Sunderland and we still have to witness McNeil playing. So slow he would lose a 100m dash at the old people's home sports day.

Sorry to disappoint this site but it’s absolute rubbish. The only fans that are on our managers case are on here, literally. We’ve progressed if we finish10th with him having one proper transfer window, we’re still constructing a different sqaud. Moyes won’t be going anywhere in the summer.

I'm all for giving Moyes time. Changing manager just creates upheaval within the squad. Look at when Benitez was here. His past gripe with Rodriguez at Real Madrid carried on at Everton and he was booted out. Digne wasn't fancied by him either even though he was best we had at LB and an attacking threat. New manager would want to bring his own backroom team in and players that fit his style. I'm all for progression under Moyes. Just wish he'd be about braver and stop playing negative, defensive football.
