Goodison News again. Still waiting to see Pape Gueye. It's taking a long time to do the obligatory video and photos.

A few sites have picked this story up, but all are stating it’s just a fee agreed of £20m.
If that pans out to be true and he signs, I would be happy with that. He’s direct and will stretch teams' back lines, physical and powerful, can play with both feet but deployed on the right usually and likes to cut in to shoot with his stronger left.

Felt he should have moved last summer as he’s Premier League quality and still developing, so £20m would be a great deal.
My only concern is, does this mean Ndiaye is off, or are we adding more depth and weapons to the attack?
Hopefully more a McNeill replacement, who I expect to move on with only a year left on his contract.

I think it would point to Grealish deal not happening st, and now Rodgers have sold Morgan and Tielemans. I think Jack will go home.

Since the 5 subs rule came in, teams have been winning games off the bench, bringing wingers on and rotating to keep players fresh. We've not had that option, and it hurt us in lots of games. Be great to start the season with a set of proper wingers. Will definitely raise questions about Ndayie and Grealish.

Villa are apparently signing Gomes and have already signed Manzambi to replace them two. Two very good signings that might actually improve them.

Grealish will be a last minute signing, so we aren't paying his wages.

The rotating of 5 subs is all well and good, but to work we need a manager who doesn't wait til the 88th minute to make tactical changes.

There will likely be some interest in Grealish from Villa, but not sure they would go in for him, might be too costly even with the influx of revenue from Rogers going to Chelsea, as they need to keep to this UEFA SCR of 70% this season, whereas the likes of Chelsea and Spurs only have to stick to the 85% of the Premier League rules.
Spurs are in a good financial state due to all the additional income, but I am baffled how Chelsea can afford a deal like this given they were already in financial hot water.
But I am no financial guru.

To be fair, I'm not that bothered if Grealish comes back, Ndiaye is useless on the right, so makes sense to sign a specialty and let Ndiaye play his best position.
