Price means little when they blow up a silly figure. If the player makes the noise he's looking to move. Like you say, injury record and last year, would they really stand firm for 40m? Either they love him and he's about to sign a new contract and they're pricing him out, odd tactics. Or they're trying to drum up a scramble, or they're trying to make the player force a move.
I loved him and think he'd be brilliant for us. Hope it happens. We are building in the way he and we were once promised, and that surely must be attractive. I still think he's gonna go cash grab or romantic return home, but he'd be far better than anyone linked.

Wouldn't do business with any of the entitled 6. Hopefully all the money Spurs have spent will send them into points deductions with PSR. I'd wait a year, then get him for free, as he will be out of contract.

Get him now and that takes a lot of pressure off young Barry. Wait another year and he will get better offers from others as a free agent.
