A lot of talk of player incomings such as Rashford but none as good as Ndiaye who already looks comfortable at City, I can never understand the mentality of Everton to get get rid of our top players and usually replace them with lesser talent!
We look bang average and are doing well to be where we are in the league, but we need some fresh talent into the squad!

Ndiaye wanted the move mate we didn't get rid, he chose to go.

What's really worrying me is this insistence to do a deal with manu first zirkzee gods knows why now rashford truly baffling is it because manu are after Branthwaite and they keep chucking their crap hoping we'll get excited I swear if Branthwaite goes there he's finished the next Harry maguire and everton are weak to entertain manu forget ever winning a cup unless it's in the lower divisions.

Rashford was very good on loan at Villa and at Barce last season. He improves our team. I'd be more concerned about him and Jack out on the town.

We have fans crying out for better players but, when we get linked with those that would undoubtedly improve the squad and first team, it's 'don't want him' or 'he's sh*te'

Is Rashford better than what we've got? Yes. Does he improve the squad? Yes, he does. I really don't understand the mentality at times. Someone please explain why Rashford shouldn't be brought in, if the rumour is to be believed.

Rashford for £380000 per week is the most waste of money in the league for £ 380000 per week the player should be banging in 30 odd goals a season don't think he's got one he's manus problem leave him there.

{Ed025's Note - im with you TL, a sulky big shot who thinks hes miles better than he actually is mate, if he played for free i wouldn,t want him..

01 Nov 2026 16:18:10
Had his day, and far too expensive let him stay with Man U, they deserve each other.

01 Nov 2026 17:50:36
Just take a look at united and he was sat in the bench, that's should tell you all you need to no, and why is he better than what we have, i don't personally think he is.

01 Nov 2026 18:39:25
Nor do I mate.

Good replies, gents. I don't think, however, we will be paying over 300k per week for him, we just can't afford that so there will be a compromise on his wages. I'm assuming it will be a loan deal rather than a transfer.

I get that he is on the bench for United but he had decent loan spells at Villa and Barca. If he's good enough for them then surely he is good enough for us?

BP, why do I think he's good enough for us? The lad can play across the entire front line which would suit us as we have a very thin squad, a few injuries to our attackers and we are in a bit of trouble. At CF, nobody on here can say that he is not better than Barry. The latter may have potential but his lack of clinical finishing is, and has, cost us points so far this season. That will continue until the summer without a doubt.

Ed25, I think he also has a lot to prove and a move away from Utd, albeit on loan, could reignite something in him. He would also be close to home which could help. I just think we have to look at players like him, those who have fallen to the wayside a little and need a fresh start. He is experienced and could help our cause considerably, imo.

He definitely improves both the squad and the first team and isn't that what we all really want? Especially if it is a loan deal, we can't really lose, it is a gamble that could be worth taking.

Cheers gents, good to hear the process behind the thinking of your own opinions, whether they align with mine or not.

{Ed025's Note - i have no problem with loans BP but i want them to be the right ones mate, i would like loanees who are trying to prove a point rather than just turning up for the money and i dont think Marcus fits into that category, i also think the money would be a problem but i could be wrong..

So the compromise would be Branthwaite going to manu complete waste of time I wouldn't want to start weakening the defence to feed manu another one of our young star players rashford doesn't come close to the value to everton football club as Branthwaite rashy us another sancho overpaid waster.

01 Nov 2026 22:34:24
So apparently we are losing around a million a week so why would we entertain taking on Rashford when we're already paying the lush a fortune.

02 Nov 2026 07:26:46
I get that ed25, but I do think he has a lot to prove right now. Especially since he hasn't had much game time and is obviously surplus to requirements at Utd.

BMD, there isn't a chance that we would be paying his entire wage, 300k+ is well above our budget. If he came on loan then his club would subsidise part of that, as happens with a lot of loan deals across the league.

TL, that's just an assumption mate. There is nothing to say that, because we could take one of their players on loan, we will sell them JB. For a start, the lad has to want to go to them and, let's be honest, that club is in turmoil right now. They are not the attraction they once we're.

My point is that Rashford would walk into the side up top as he is miles better than Barry and the majority of us don't think the latter is good enough to lead our line. If the finances are right for us then it's better than facing the rest of the season with Barry not getting any competition for his place.
