Chelsea have been found out again for breach of agents fees etc etc.

10 million fine and a two window registration ban.

Agree1 Disagree0

31 Jul 2026 15:14:15
Chelsea fan here.

Just to give you some insight, our club have not been found out again. It's for the same offence that we were fined by both EUFA and the Premier League.

I should also point out that the offences happened during the Roman era and were picked up by the new owners' lawyers when they were looking into the books prior to the completion of the sale.

Money was also held back from the sale to cover any fines that came our way.

Immediately, the new owners self-reported the issue to all authorities, and, in all probability, it would never have been picked up by the authorities.

Just wanted to give you an insight as to how this all came about.

{Ed025's Note - thanks Bill..

31 Jul 2026 15:23:08
Everton have been ordered to pay £40m in compensation to Burnley, after having points deduction previously. This happened under previous owners. Does this seem fair?

{Ed025's Note - its a great point TBT..

31 Jul 2026 15:42:54
To be honest, there is a lot that is not fair, it's all about making money and who can get what.

31 Jul 2026 16:16:45
Keep the 'big teams' happy and the rest don't matter.

{Ed025's Note - very much so JB..

31 Jul 2026 16:45:52
JBtoffee,

Without all the different size clubs within our leagues, there would not be any so called big clubs, therefore, all clubs need to be looked after in the same way.

When rules are broken, there is a price to pay as we have found out.

31 Jul 2026 17:00:03
But the price to pay is not the price to pay for all teams, is it? They don't think twice about docking us points, which means we lost money too, so a double punishment.

A suspended punishment is no punishment at all. Anyway, rant over! Let's hope we sign a few and improve season on season so we can show everyone what a 'big team' really is.

31 Jul 2026 17:56:41
Welcome Bill, and thanks for your insight.

In my opinion, we were accused of breaking the rules, were found guilty, and dealt with very swiftly. There was an argument that we fought the decision, and this was taken into account when coming up with a punishment, despite complying with external sources to the club.

I feel that Chelsea broke the rules, lied about it, and tried to brush it under the carpet. Like you said, it may never have been picked up. The new owners came in, and it has all surfaced now, and Chelsea have continued to break rules under UEFA (correct me if I'm wrong) with finances.

The treatment of Chelsea has been very lenient, as they just keep getting fines and registering restrictions. I still don't understand why there has not been a points deduction.

Forest were dealt with swiftly. City, well, they have been the most difficult, completely changed the face of football through cheating, and are not being treated the same.

Do you think Chelsea should continue to be given financial penalties, which the committee looking into Everton said would be worthless given we were a multi-billion business?

31 Jul 2026 20:11:08
A fairer punishment would be to suspend the fine and impose the registration ban. But no, the FA need the fine money.
If you want to really know what unfair is, try putting the same panel overseeing the Burnley situation that did the original 10 point deduction that was found to be excessively harsh, therefore reducing it.

Let me repeat this because it's so unbelievable - The Premier League put the same panel on the Burnley case that got it wrong the first time!
I have never seen such brazen incompetence!

{Ed025's Note - it beggars belief Ace..

31 Jul 2026 13:29:21
So the price tag for Delap is £40 million, lot of cash that.

{Ed025's Note - too much imo GB..

Agree0 Disagree3

31 Jul 2026 14:59:12
Yikes, way too much that by about 35mill.

31 Jul 2026 15:58:43
Delap is worth no more than 30m.

{Ed025's Note - i would lose the 0 myself Uran..

31 Jul 2026 15:58:44
Well, we are stuck with mediocre players unfortunately. The real good established ones will not come and cost too much. We don't seem to have a recruiting team capable of identifying good young players who will become great, and so we will either have to stay with B&B or replace one of them with a similar ("If maybe a little better") player like Delap if they bring the price down to a reasonable amount.

{Ed025's Note - i suspect you could be right Mike..

31 Jul 2026 16:04:24
It's 39 million, too much on what happened last season, but I'd have him at Everton over Beto. I think if he had the same chances as Beto did he'd score more, as we all know it's all ifs and buts.

{Ed025's Note - that would be sideways move rather than a forward one Pasty..

31 Jul 2026 16:44:02
So what would I, mate, but I hope we can get him on a loan somehow.

31 Jul 2026 21:09:32
If Chelsea want 40mill for Delap, how much do they want for Jackson, better player, and much better in front of goal?

31 Jul 2026 12:34:39
Jonathan Rowe getting heavily linked with us today, we have offered £39 million apparently.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2026 16:36:11
Can't see us spending more than 25m on a player to be honest.

31 Jul 2026 12:23:04
Afternoon fellas!

Just wanted to pass on a rumour I've heard from a pal that works at the club. It’s being kept quiet from the media as it's early days but we’ve been discussing a loan deal with Chelsea for Malo Gusto. The club are quietly confident it gets done but don’t want to get people’s hopes up.

Not sure at this point if it’s a straight loan or with an option to buy but certainly positive news for the club.

Chelsea enquired about Ndiaye during talks but Everton swiftly slammed the door shut on that one.

Have a nice weekend. UTFT.

Agree1 Disagree0

31 Jul 2026 13:00:34
I'd take that, Jordo.

31 Jul 2026 13:40:44
Great info, mate, cheers for that, bit of good news on here for a change.

31 Jul 2026 14:01:37
Nit quiet anymore then.

31 Jul 2026 12:07:15
Everton want to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal this summer following his loan spell at Olympique Marseille. The latest one doing the rounds.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jul 2026 13:33:36
Would be all for this, Toffebwoy. Some people don't like him, but I think he looks to be a great talent. Bags and bags of ability and would give us a brilliant option on the RW or 10.

31 Jul 2026 13:42:02
How old is he, BN, 19 or so? Would DM play him, mate?

31 Jul 2026 14:23:18
He is 19, GB, aye. Haha, that is a very good point, but hopefully he won't be here in 9 months to make the playing decisions, mate.

31 Jul 2026 14:32:56
Recent experiences with Moyes and young players he has brought to the club (Anzou, Rohl, Dibling) are not good. Hope it goes better for this lad if he comes our way.

30 Jul 2026 19:02:45
So we are looking to sign a Gana replacement and are still looking. Brentford let Henderson leave mutually and then today go out and buy a defensive midfielder Mamadou Sangare for £41 million. No haggling over s*** deposits with terms over payments, they just pay what the club valued him.

Just putting it out to more with a bit more nous on transfers, Blues. Is this the same Mamadou Sangare from Lens we have watched for almost 2 years without making an approach or was it another Sangare.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jul 2026 22:44:57
I haven't seen us linked with Mamadou Sangare before. I remember us being linked with Ibrahim (Forest) , whilst he was at PSV.

Quality signing by Brentford that.

31 Jul 2026 07:42:14
Brentford would have done negotiations with the club. It may have been going on for weeks.

Buying players is like a jigsaw puzzle. You've got a load of pieces missing and you're trying to fit them all in. Every club will have a budget to spend, but if you overspend on one then you may not have enough for another. You may think, like with O'Brien and wrongly in my opinion, we have someone who can do a job, so you sacrifice that purchase.

If we had just three or four players that we needed, you could go out there and be more aggressive. However, like last year, we've got 6 or 7 that we need. That means we've got to be more careful and negotiate more in the market.

Hopefully next year we're in a better place and we can approach the market with gusto.

31 Jul 2026 08:24:01
Henderson would not have been a move in place weeks ago, and Brentford's midfield is not one that needs restructuring to a £41 million transfer recruit, so my thoughts are Henderson is leaving. They go to a target they may have had but with no need to purchase, but when needed they have the deal over the line, unlike us dithering at every move.

It took us 6 weeks to agree £18 million for Hackney. I know which transfer recruitment team I would like doing negotiations for us.

31 Jul 2026 08:37:22
Alanc, it's fair to say none of us know what actually happens with transfers of our own club let alone the transfers of others. You're dealing with perception here and that can mislead any of us.

31 Jul 2026 08:54:24
Who said we are after a replacement? Garner will probably do his job, Hackney and Dewberry Hall, with Tim as back up. Papers make stuff up, as we have all witnessed. I've actually stopped clicking on some sites now. They just spout utter rubbish.

31 Jul 2026 09:55:27
You are right. We should not need a replacement for Idrissa. I often thought playing him and JG didn't work and was too defensive.

31 Jul 2026 10:36:01
Isn't Hackney the Gana replacement?

31 Jul 2026 11:54:59
We also have Harrison Armstrong too.

31 Jul 2026 13:34:58
None of the players we have can replicate the work that Gana did. We need a proper defensive midfielder. Hackney is a deep-lying playmaker but his defensive work is not even in the same ballpark as Gana's.

Jimmy is the closest thing we have but I think it takes away from the more useful parts of his game.

31 Jul 2026 18:32:34
Why did we buy Hackney if to not play him in the middle with Garner? I'd be disappointed if he benched him and only brings him on in the 85th minute to give Jimmy a break. Or if he switches Garner to RB to play Hackney in CM.

30 Jul 2026 17:41:17
Links to young CB Taras Mykhavko, a compatriot of Mykolenko's.

Never seen the lad play but appears to be a no-nonsense defender. Looks to have a bit of pace about him and seems to time his tackles very well, be that going to ground or not.

Only 21, left-footed and looks to be a replacement for Tarks given his ability to put his body on the line with blocks.

A signing I could get behind tbh, as I am not comfortable with going into the season with Tarkowski and Keane as starters (JB fitness still questionable) .

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jul 2026 22:44:55
Said that about JB for a while. Such a pity for such a talented lad. That's an if! By the way.

30 Jul 2026 13:05:01
That’s settled then Ndiaye is staying at Everton, his Dad says he’s going nowhere according to reports, once again paper xxxx.

Agree3 Disagree0

30 Jul 2026 14:06:06
Doesn't say that I don't think. It says he's not going to SA so might he be going elsewhere?
I reckon Manure.

30 Jul 2026 18:42:09
My dad said I wasn't going to London so I went. Let's hear this from the player, then I might believe it. Looks like his mate Gana is on his way over there, so would not be surprised if he followed.

31 Jul 2026 00:52:02
Change of manager at Newcastle might see him go there (Isn't it the manager of the Saudi Arabian club reportedly in talks with Ndiaye's representatives?)

30 Jul 2026 10:46:42
Talks ongoing between Man City and us for the transfer of Jack Grealish, Al Halil want him as well, but Jack has told those closest to him that he prefers to stay here in UK and wants to join Everton instead despite the much higher wages on offer to him in the Saudi league. Hopefully this one will cross the line.

Agree5 Disagree0

30 Jul 2026 11:19:53
This will cross the line.

30 Jul 2026 11:23:32
Let us know when he has left the building.

30 Jul 2026 12:12:21
Thanks for the info, Elvis, hope we get him back.

30 Jul 2026 17:37:43
If he gets a chance at City he won't be coming back to us.

30 Jul 2026 18:11:04
He isn't getting a chance at City.

Doku, Foden, Cherki, Semenyo can all play that position.

I still think he would choose us anyway. He has done the City gig. He loves it at us because he realises that the fans and the club as a whole is different, even if we are s*** on the pitch.

30 Jul 2026 18:30:14
He has won trophy after trophy. He has all the money he needs, so hopefully he will return to us and just play football for the love he feels for the club.

30 Jul 2026 18:45:38
Well, it will be interesting to see just how much "love" he has for the club when all this pans out.

30 Jul 2026 20:29:53
Grealish has paid for a player box at the Hill Dickinson for the next 3 years according to the site guides when taking the official site tour.

31 Jul 2026 06:32:00
It will come in useful when he is injured.

30 Jul 2026 08:11:17
Roma after an attacking rb in Givairo Read, we are after some cheap options from Celtic, says it all. Don't Roma already have 2 rightbacks?

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Jul 2026 11:24:58
Says nothing except we have no clue what discussions and/or negotiations are going on.

30 Jul 2026 12:12:12
It says to me that Roma are more proactive. We've only needed a rb for 4 years.

30 Jul 2026 12:51:48
I hope they get him.

We can then ask for Devyne Rensch or Wesley, who are both better players and who we should have got 18 months ago.
