Well, this one has gone completely cold if there was ever any truth to it.

I’m hearing that Moyes is pushing for a double deal with Man City… wanting Rico Lewis and another deal for Grealish… both players keen to come, Man City willing to sell Lewis if the price is right, discussions expected to begin more formally next week.

17 Jul 2026 14:21:36
Happy enough with this, Lewis could be in the team for 10 years and Jack is quality.

17 Jul 2026 14:32:37
Hearing from who, Elvis?
Hope it's true.

17 Jul 2026 14:59:14
The ever-reliable Goodison News JB.

17 Jul 2026 15:11:02
60m for both my arse.

0

17 Jul 2026 16:53:55
Well, happy if that happens, Elvis, mate.

1

17 Jul 2026 18:53:26
Both would be good additions. 👍👍

17 Jul 2026 19:45:00
We won't be paying 30m for Jack, so not sure where you get the 60m figure for both? If anything, a similar deal to what we did with Gareth Barry in his final year with City is the way we will get this done. Loan him again, and then pay a nominal fee in the summer. That would work well for us, I think.

0

17 Jul 2026 20:29:24
60m was what was said on Goodison News, like I said, there's no chance we are paying that.

I was agreeing with you BD, but also wondering where that figure come from. Some of those sites are unreal with the crap they spout.

Everton’s €15m offer on the table – More needed but gap reducing. This is apparently about Brooke Norton Cuffy. What's your thoughts? 🧐💭 My fellow evertonians.

Well, we appear to be trying to sign RBs, which is a start. Don't be surprised with Everton if a random name pops up that they signed.

1

16 Jul 2026 09:32:52
Everton step up Rico Lewis interest as City set £30m price tag. If true, I am all over this. I like this guy, the right age and from a team with a winning mentality. Get it, fine if possible.

5

16 Jul 2026 14:21:02
I agree, £30m to solve our key problem position, no brainer.

3

16 Jul 2026 17:59:16
Do you reckon both Lewis and Norton-Cuffy? Looks like that's still gathering pace.

1

16 Jul 2026 18:34:34
Cracking player just what we need, striker next.

1

16 Jul 2026 19:10:01
I wouldn't be as against Norton-Cuffy, if he was 1 of 2 RB's, but if he is the only one to come in, I would rather go after someone else.

12/15 million is nothing these days.

16 Jul 2026 19:32:44
Just wondering if the Rico Lewis deal and a deal for Jack will be based on whichever one makes sense to buy outright and which one to loan, as we can't loan two players from the same Premier League club. Jack is free next year, so another loan for him if City are wanting him gone and off the wage bill but still asking silly money, or all the other variables of this situation.

Who knows, maybe there's a big wodge of cash and we buy both!

16 Jul 2026 19:35:10
Every hour I'm clicking to see if we have got a rightback. In for 5 at the minute, so at least there is a chance we will get one before September.

16 Jul 2026 20:09:07
I am also regularly checking BD, because in my view it is the key role for us to fill.
Don't think all of the five are serious contenders, though, unfortunately, but would like to think a couple are at least, and it is not just "paper talk".

1

16 Jul 2026 21:13:16
Sounds like Brentford and Fulham are after Norton Cuffy.

0

16 Jul 2026 21:26:39
Bellanova and Spence are apparently too expensive for us. The original five on the list rapidly dwindling already!

So Leeds have now launched legal action against Leicester, claiming Leicester's PSR breach cost them automatic promotion in 23/24. And honestly, this is exactly what happens when the Premier League let's clubs start suing each other over hypothetical league positions.
Once Burnley sued us and actually got somewhere with it, the whole thing opened a massive can of worms. Every club now will now think they've got a case for "financial damages" whenever someone else breaks rules. It's turning football into a courtroom sport.
That case opened the door, and now every club who feels hard done by is going to try their luck.

Leeds' argument is basically that Leicester broke PSR, Leicester should've had a points deduction during the season, Leeds would've finished top two, therefore Leeds lost out on Premier League money, therefore Leicester owe them millions.

And you know what whether you agree with Leeds or not, this is the monster the Premier League created. Burnley set the precedent. Now everyone's going to pile in.

We're going to end up with clubs suing each other every season.
Relegation? Sue someone.
Missed promotion? Sue someone.
Didn't get Europe? Sue someone.
Lost a game to a team who later got a deduction? Sue someone.

It's ridiculous. Football's supposed to be decided on the pitch, not in a courtroom with accountants and lawyers arguing over who lost out on what hypothetical revenue.

The whole PSR system is a mess, and instead of fixing it, they created a world where clubs are basically encouraged to take each other to court. Leeds and Leicester is just the next domino and It won't be the last.

And as an Evertonian, watching this unfold after everything we've been dragged through it's hard not to feel like the Premier League has completely lost control of its own rules.

Hi, new here - first comment. Been looking here for rumours for a while.

Surely clubs should be suing the football league now instead of individual clubs?

It's the EPL/EFL's fault for it getting this far and not being dealt with properly in the first place? Especially in the case of Leicester.

We're different as no intent of advantage and we were dealt with (points deduction) , but where the league has allowed it to go this far, it should be them at fault?

I'm pretty sure that one of the conditions of being a member of the PL is that you can't appeal or sue the PL, or something along those lines.

0

16 Jul 2026 17:58:14
That's s**** isn't it... "can't touch us but can sue other members" lol.

TeamTalk saying we are likely to approach Genoa about their Eng U21 RB, Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

Obvs don't know if true, or if he is a good shout or not.

1

15 Jul 2026 06:14:11
I like him, very athletic, similar but younger than Spence.

4

15 Jul 2026 09:14:54
Looks decent. Louie Spence is off to Inter. I prefer this option.

1

15 Jul 2026 13:55:31
Very underwhelming RB signing if we get him in.

Only managed a full season of football once for Millwall.

Rather pay the extra 13/15 million and get Rico Lewis in.

4

15 Jul 2026 14:23:40
Played 41 games for Genoa last season in Serie A too, I think. Regular in the England U21s. Other than that, don't know too much about the lad.

1

15 Jul 2026 14:34:50
He's a powerful unit, BN, who will run all day. Chose to move to Serie A and challenge himself at a young age, hence not played much in UK, which shows character. Seen a couple matches in which he's played, and he can play - Right age too.

3

15 Jul 2026 15:13:10
I think he only managed 27, JB. He seems to suffer from muscular problems, and this might be due to the way he plays like Cookie said, running up and down all day.

Watched him play against Napoli and AC Milan last season when we were linked, and he was average from what I saw, Cookie.

Think there are much better RB options out there for us personally, but if he comes in, as always, the fans will be right behind him, myself included.

1

15 Jul 2026 19:48:51
Rico Lewis, for me, the lad is mustard.

14 Jul 2026 19:38:30
Sources: Douglas Luiz open to completing Everton move. I think if we have agreed Gueye move this one will not happen. I know FL is not a DM, but unless they are getting rid of Carlos A and Tim etc this one is dead in the water.

Had a decent 18/24 months at Villa but nowhere near the same player. Would be on high wages and does not start ahead of any of our starting midfielders. Good squad player to come on or fill in for injuries, but would he come for that and not see his arse.

Massive no from me on this one, mate.

Even if we do get rid of Alcaraz and Tim, I would rather see us go and stop Fiorentina from getting Inao Oulai and bring him in.

PL and Everton are a bigger pull than they are. He is a couple of years younger than Alcaraz and Tim but already appears to be a better footballer and has a far higher ceiling.

If it is true that Fiorentina are getting him, we will have missed the boat on a Caceido/Rice/Anderson type fee if we don't sign him.

1

14 Jul 2026 16:38:49
Papa Gueye signed up. Good window, becoming excellent window. Another couple to come in. Well chuffed.

2

14 Jul 2026 18:26:27
Well, we are now well stocked with mid-fielders, the couple to come in better be a right-back and a striker.

1

14 Jul 2026 17:13:07
Eh. Where have you seen that GB?

3

14 Jul 2026 19:28:54
Africa Foot apparently, but nothing coming from the Bobble or Myers, so I wouldn't believe that too much.

2

14 Jul 2026 22:56:07
Just have to wait and see.

1

15 Jul 2026 07:09:16
Only saw one report on this early yesterday. Nothing since, so unless the floodgates start to open on this then I'd give it a wide berth reporting wise.

2

14 Jul 2026 10:59:19
Looks like we are getting Papa Gueye from Villarreal for 24 million + 4 million in add-ons based on Champions League qualification. This would be a great signing and would be the new Gana Gueye signing, fast, energy to burn and scores and assists.

What’s not to like about that?

Gives us a solid choice of midfielders.

Garner/Hackney/Gueye/KDH/Rohl

Could we see Jimmy being switched to right back?

I hope not.

4

14 Jul 2026 11:59:35
Apparently back in for Norton Cuffy as a RB.

4

14 Jul 2026 12:25:45
There is a clear change of direction that has been adopted from some other successful Prem teams in recent years. Looking to spend 15-25 mill on talent that had a potential to improve and go up in value.

3

14 Jul 2026 12:53:06
Not going to complain about a potentially promising signing, but for the love of god, can we stop buying Centre Mids and buy a fullback and a striker!

We've proven time and time again that having too many players in one position isn't a good thing - competition is one thing, but 5 players competing for 2 spots just causes issues.

5

14 Jul 2026 14:27:42
Can we please sign a striker.

3

14 Jul 2026 23:47:42
No chance it puts Jimmy at RB. He is too vital in the middle for us and Moyes is fully aware of that fact.

If anything, this signing gets more out of Garner. It will allow him to press and be busy, something which he excels at, and to collect the ball in more advanced areas.

We saw last season how dangerous he is in the final third, whether it is blasting one in, Brighton, or showing poise, guile, execution of pass against Forest for Barry Chuckle's goal.

I think the number of options we have in midfield is a good thing, and although a lot of them are 8's, their profiles are entirely different. You could quite easily play a flat 3 in midfield with Gueye, Garner and KDH.

All have the ability and experience to be able to rotate with one another; if one man is more advanced, the other will sit in and protect, or vice versa.

Gueye is the closest thing we would have to a 6. Garner has played most of his career there, but he excelled further forward for Forest and has shown his ability in and around the box for us at times. Gueye will give Garner and KDH licence to roam and go and effect the game.

Playing a flat 3 would mean our flankers would have to be very good and be supported by 2 fullbacks so they aren't doubled up on.

Hopefully it isn't just a RB we are getting this window because I think a LB is just as important.
