Al Hilal after Ndiaye
Apparently opened talks.
26 Jul 2026 20:32:37
Would hate to see him go, but at least Saudi clubs have a tendency to overpay.
26 Jul 2026 21:03:42
I'd bite their hand off for 85m, he's good but greedy at times, stats don't flatter him, and he's obviously got s*** of an attitude.
26 Jul 2026 19:48:18
Could be a late surge but don't hold your breath. It seems FSG are prioritising recruitment for Roma as they're in Europe and need a bigger squad. We are the least of their concerns when it comes to recruitment, plus players we talk about they go and put bids in. I know we're owned by the same group and this is my concern.
I have said this on another post. They go to Roma games quite frequently but never set foot in Goodison and have never seen a game at BMD. That is where my concerns lie. Maybe just me, but this has been posted by a few other toffees
26 Jul 2026 20:38:44
Everyone loves a rumour. Our owners have probably watched us on telly and thought sod that, not sitting in the cold watching that crap, when I can sit in the sun watching proper football. Don't blame them either.
26 Jul 2026 21:05:31
There will be a budget for both teams which would obviously fluctuate depending on outgoings.
We have completely different recruitment teams, so I can't see how it makes any difference what needs to be done at Roma. It won't affect us, other than if they were to go after one of our targets.
26 Jul 2026 13:51:26
I hope this one is just paper talk. James Tavernier for right back? Not for me, sorry. 😞😞😢🥲
26 Jul 2026 14:54:51
Nothing surprises me with this crew.
26 Jul 2026 15:29:54
Isn't that an old one? Sounds like a regurgitation story to me.
26 Jul 2026 21:09:37
Taverner got no pace, gets caught out of possession and out of position, he's 36, so Moyes will be wanting him for experience, but Coleman had that.
26 Jul 2026 13:40:52
How much did Everton put on the table for Ayase Ueda? According to Soccernews in the Netherlands, Everton were willing to go to £19.6million to strike a deal for forward Ueda.
26 Jul 2026 14:01:58
And they want near £25-5 million mate.
26 Jul 2026 19:02:37
Seems a gap that could be closed without too much pain for either party.
26 Jul 2026 10:14:43
Roma gone for Castro, the striker we have supposed to have been linked with. Either our recruitment team is doing findings for Roma or someone in between Everton and Roma is leaking the wrong info.
26 Jul 2026 12:36:48
Or it could all be a load of rubbish.
26 Jul 2026 13:54:27
Could be.
26 Jul 2026 20:40:06
We've been linked with a lot of players.
25 Jul 2026 22:00:53
If RG LIPZIG REALLY have made an offer for Barry, he should be wrapped up, with a pink bow on his head and be half way there by now.
God I hope they don't know about trading standards, good fit for purpose and all that.
26 Jul 2026 12:17:13
Where he'll go on to excel and become a top striker, and you'll all then complain that we didn't keep him.
Swear this fanbase has no patience for young players, yet slag off Moyes for the same reason.
Not saying he'll become a top striker, but let's give the lad a chance and not give up on him after a season.
If we go out and get a new starting striker, I'd rather we sold Beto instead. Love the lad, but he hasn't got it. At least Barry is young enough that he's got the chance to improve. If anything, at least to increase his value in the long run.
{Ed025's Note - i dont know what you see in him Big Dunc?, he has got the first touch of an Elephant, cant control a ball, his movement is slow and laborious, he cant finish, hes not that good in the air for his size and he cant finish...besides that hes top quality, your only reason for keeping him is because he is young mate, so is my 13 year old granddaughter but i dont want Everton to buy her either, he also is very sulky and seems to have an attitude problem and for me we should cut our losses and try and get 50p for him or something...just my view of course..
26 Jul 2026 13:00:22
The chance to improve. If he played until he was 150, he'd still be useless fs. He couldn't trap a medicine ball. I watched a dog on That's Life once, which was a better player than Barry.
26 Jul 2026 13:12:53
Ed is spot on, BigDunc - there's a lot of players who deserves way more patience than we gave them, and a lot the fans turned on when they were only 19 and still developing, but Barry is not one of them.
There isn't even a glimmer of potential in there, he's just dreadful. If we can even make half our money back, i think we get rid, and send whichever scout recommended as part of the deal
26 Jul 2026 13:46:26
Absolute rubbish player, we have seen him under perform so many times. We have to get rid of Beto and Barry if we want to progress, I'm sure BN has mentioned a few targets.
26 Jul 2026 14:59:26
I have to agree with everyone else on this, I'm afraid, BD. Barry is useless. He may be better suited to another club in another league, but he definitely doesn't cut it in the Premier League. I'd keep Beto before Barry, but still want another striker in.
26 Jul 2026 19:10:05
When Beto crosses the white line, he gives 100%, Barry has a PhD in sulking.
25 Jul 2026 16:19:35
Reading that Forest want Beto, please let this be true.
{Ed025's Note - praise the lord.. :)
25 Jul 2026 16:50:27
How much are we paying them to take him.
25 Jul 2026 16:54:35
They realise Barry is thrown in free!
25 Jul 2026 17:57:18
We offered the two for one deal, then the phone went dead. No gratitude, some people.
25 Jul 2026 18:33:41
The only problem if Beto goes is that we'd be stuck with Barry. No sign of us getting one striker yet, never mind two.
{Ed025's Note - if we start the season with them 2 crap idiots SB then im giving up mate..
25 Jul 2026 21:04:26
Agree there Ed I want them both gone
{Ed025's Note - surely we cant start the season with those 2 GB?, or the season will be over before its started mate..
25 Jul 2026 21:51:54
Unfortunately it looks like we will start the season with more than two crap idiots Ed025 mate.
I think that the rumors of teams wanting either B or B are just paper talk and we have a few more player who will be difficult to move on.
{Ed025's Note - its not looking good up to now Mike..
25 Jul 2026 21:56:54
Me too Ed. I know it's pre season but the way Moyes approached today's friendly didn't fill me with confidence.
{Ed025's Note - i only seen the highlights SB but it was very underwhelming mate..
26 Jul 2026 06:45:24
We are, and always will be, crap under dithering Dave. Anyone on here who has any positivity regarding the new season needs caught with the butterfly nets. Looks like the new owners are happy for dithering to do his usual with mid table mediocrity. Good luck to anyone paying good money to watch us with him in charge.
25 Jul 2026 15:50:10
Hey Ed just been reading Jimmy had an op for a groin problem any info mate
{Ed025's Note - thats the first i have heard of it GB, i will try and find out more mate ..
25 Jul 2026 19:49:48
Groin issue was discovered in fitness testing on return for preseason, hopefully the op clears the issue.
Return is likely to be a month, so could miss the opening games of the season as he will be behind the rest of the squad.
24 Jul 2026 21:45:18
Gana has left the club.
25 Jul 2026 07:17:09
On his day, he is class, but he wasn't as consistent last season, and had a few poor games. He goes before he is considered a liability on high wages. Good luck to him and wherever he ends up.
25 Jul 2026 10:39:51
They both fell off after AFCON, and Moyes didn't help the Club, also dropping its form by his lack of substitutions and tactics.
25 Jul 2026 11:51:07
Gana is older and not as effective, Moyes's fault. The bogs have run out of paper, Moyes's fault.
25 Jul 2026 12:26:38
I actually thought we were starting to look better without him. Great player over the years, but it is the right time to move on. I really think Tim deserves a chance. I felt he was our best player over the last few games.
25 Jul 2026 12:54:29
Yep, blame DM szzzzzzz.
25 Jul 2026 14:40:08
GB's fallen asleep. I'm blaming Moyes' dull football, team sheets and lack of transfers.
{Ed025's Note - its not just Moyes BR its the whole ethos of the club mate, im afraid Nil Satis Nisi Optimum no longer exists at this club its about survival from the get go, im one of the lucky ones who seen trophies and some great sides and great players but that is firmly in the past im afraid, i cant blame guys for being optimistic as when i was naive i always thought "this is our year", then reality kicked in and now we see the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and even Sunderland finishing higher than us and that tells me everything, will we stay up...yes, will we win anything..no...this is the future of Everton Football Club..SURVIVAL..
25 Jul 2026 15:15:10
Hit the nail on the head there Ed mate
{Ed025's Note - i would love to be wrong mate..
25 Jul 2026 15:28:26
Hope you are wrong Ed25. We were in a terrible position end of 24/25 season as far as the squad goes. We've had two windows to address the issue with mixed results. If Moyes drops the "only pick favourites" approach and makes subs when they are needed, we could do something.
I'm slowly moving towards a future without him in charge and more of the same of last season will just push me towards calling for a change sooner rather than later
{Ed025's Note - i cant just point to one thing and say that is whats wrong with this club BR, its an amalgamation of things mate including scouting, recruitment, lack of ambition and yes the Manager, my problem is that at the moment i cant see a way forward im afraid..
25 Jul 2026 17:11:19
We should have finished higher last season Ed25. There were several games we threw away with poor decision making regarding team selection, subs and lack of subs. I placed those errors at the feet of Moyes. Frustratingly, it's the same Moyes who managed so many away wins.
It doesn't matter who you recruit when we played the systems we play. You wonder if we had someone who could train the players to pass and not lob it up front all the time.
Everything you named has the one common lynchpin the manager. If he doesn't buck up and sort out the losing from winning positions or setting up to draw at home, we will likely see someone else take over. The question is: who is available who is decent and would take a chance on us? Over to Optimum and BN who seem to know more about this sort of thing
{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that BR..
25 Jul 2026 20:02:17
I feel the ship will be turning but slowly. There was a lot of work to be done with the squad when the Friedkins took over. I am just hoping we see the benefits sooner rather than later!
We are looking to the future with signings now, not being a retirement home for aging pros! I am hoping for second season bounce for some of those, but we do need to add more, and one of these Right Backs other teams seem to utilise. 😳
The youth setup needed an overhaul, we need to start generating more talent from within the club. But then we will need a manager who will bring them into the first team as well.
Our finances are improving, unfortunately.
As I understand it, our spending this window is based off the revenues from the last season at Goodison, which is why we are still a bit tight on funds, but we are better off under SCR than PSR.
The revenues for events being hosted at Hill Dickinson, the Magic Weekend, England Fiji game and the Lionesses, plus the increase in matchday revenues, will start showing up in the next set of finances.
We could do with getting an NFL game and some concerts as they make loads for Spurs.
Being in my 50's, I have enjoyed some of the successful years myself, and I hope my son gets to enjoy some as well. Fingers crossed.
24 Jul 2026 09:13:06
Read Villa are looking at James Garner.
{Ed025's Note - they will probably off us Digne back and £20m Big G and we will bite their arm off..
24 Jul 2026 15:36:18
Would be gutted if he went, and shocked if we allowed it, but wouldn't blame him for being tempted. One club is showing serious ambition and moving in a positive direction, and the other is us.
24 Jul 2026 19:52:49
Ambition, is that where the manager of one of England's traditional top clubs, says it would be great if he could complete with Brentford & Bournemouth, and finish 7th or 8th.
If the bum is not at least aiming for a top 6 slot, then it really is time for him to go.
