How quick was Sesko on the counter attack? Unbelievable pace
Unfortunately our strikers in Barry and Beto are very limited, shortly one of our youngsters couldn't do any worse, it just seems we are relying on a set piece to score a goal, grasping at straws.
Garner did a great job at right back but he was badly missed in the midfield
Will we win at home this season Ed?
{Ed025's Note - it seems unlikely at the moment Uran..

Tarkowski had a five yard start on him and ended up ten yards behind. šš
24 Feb 2026 10:23:56
Think Tarkowski just made him look quick.
24 Feb 2026 18:04:30
He looked exceptionally fast. He makes a mockery of our strikers.

This fing Stadium is sucking the life out of the Team and supporters turn it into the Co-Op, O2 of BMD and go back to Goodison. We have a good side with some good players but they just looked stale. As for game time, yes there are a couple of players slotted in out of position, why! I don't actually know but I can guess, like all Managers, Moyes has his favourites, his are our CB's doesn't want to upset them, Tarks, Keane, O'Brien, Branthwaite. If O'Brien hadn't been out tonight, it wouldn't surprise me to have seen all 4 start.
If he wants his big lads in then he needs a back 3 with two WB's. The big thing though is strikers, we have needed them for years, literally. I commented (tongue in cheek) we only need 3 points that was a month ago at the same time others were saying Europe here we come. A 1-0 game which United celebrated like they had won the Cup or League, they had/have players on the bench that can score as do others, we don't have them on the pitch. Watching our ladies and my non-league for a while. Just popped in.
24 Feb 2026 08:52:20
It's not the new ground. We were no better at Goodison last season. It's a negative manager with negative tactics that's killing us. Nothing to do with new ground.
24 Feb 2026 17:15:15
I don't think we have a good side at all, and I can't believe we are as high up the league as we are. You can't have 5 good players and be seen as a decent side, imo. That is less than 50% of the 11. I wouldn't keep anyone other than Pickford, JB, Jimmy, KDH and Ndiaye in our starting 11.
Every other position needs improving. The rest are squad players at best, for me. Whilst I don't think Moyes is the answer, he has done well to get as many points as he has out of this side. So many average players in it.
25 Feb 2026 07:29:59
And go back into debt as well? Plenty of teams play well in less hostile environments than ours. It's the tactics and the players. We don't actually get players into forward positions. Our wide players never enter the box.
25 Feb 2026 20:37:51
Exactly, BN. Another big clear-out this summer. We have so many below-average players that our present manager didn't bring in. Better times coming, mate.
21 Feb 2026 11:34:47
I must say as a first time poster on this platform I am astounded by the in-depth well thought out opinions of the posters and the quality of the articles.
Truth is Moyes is a safe pair of hands and no more I was one of the fans that did not want to see him anywhere near this club that I have supported for well over well over forty years. he has done what he was hired for and may well continue to do so and I am happy about our current position in the table but that does not mean I am happy with Moyes his team selections his tactics or lack of and his continued insistence on never playing all players in their natural positions and his reluctance to blood younger players to find out if that player can cut the mustard
Moyes must think his current trusted first team eleven are never going to age he always seems reluctant to make timely substitutions tending to leave it till extremely late in the second half or bringing in the od attacking players with hardly time to get any mud on their expensive football boots.
Moyes is yesterday's manager bought in to stabilise what was definitely a sinking ship but if we want to be the prevebial phoenix that rises from the ashes of our own inforced mediocrity he is not the manager or the man to lead us into the 27/28 season.
19 Feb 2026 21:58:21
Ok for those we think we couldn't manage Europe have a look at the Conference League. In the knockout stages now, and apart from Palace and Fiorentina how many have you actually heard of.
Be honest.
20 Feb 2026 16:21:37
None.
14 Feb 2026 21:00:34
Supposed to be a rumour and banter site, Skylark I didn't/don't agree with on Moyes opinion, nor some others. Turned into insults and I am right you are wrong site.
I can tell you there is a bloke behind me at Bmd games that should be manager and another one with his mates in front, to be fair some if not more of their comments make sense.
10 Feb 2026 21:04:40
So the Hill Dickinson curse strikes yet again tonight! Staring down the barrel at an another defeat there as it stands right now. Barry should be ashamed of himself, we should of been out of site before he was rightly taken off - I blame the Everton board for all of our striking woes, we all the fans can see that we needed to strengthen in that area in January with a proven striker and again nothing was doneā¦Barry should of been binned off at the same time either to the U21s or on loan to a lower league team to learn how to become a striker.
Iām fuming tonight! OāBrien now just been sent off too because of Tarkowskis appalling defending once again, we are imploding at home again!
11 Feb 2026 07:37:31
Bad defending cost us last night.
11 Feb 2026 15:57:55
Nothing to do with any curse. Itās the incompetence of the manager and the players.
11 Feb 2026 19:49:11
I have been saying the same for ages BMD but was beginning to think maybe i'm being unfair due to my dislike of the man. Nice to read your posts.
09 Feb 2026 14:34:49
Am I the only one scratching his head over yesterdays decision. A red card can be shown if a goal scoring opportunity has been denied by foul play and nearest defender blah blah blah.
A goal scoring oppotunity wasn't denied, the ball went into the net, it was a cynical pull back, both players get yellows and the goal stands.
laws my ar$e.
09 Feb 2026 21:12:08
If you are referring to the Liverpool Vs City game, I might be in the monitory but I think they followed the laws of the game and got it right. Didnāt watch the game or highlight but saw a clip of the incident.
It was a red for Szobo as it was a professional foul preventing a clear goal. The ref should played advantage to City. When Harland then fouled Szobo preventing him getting to the ball to clear it, the advantage was lost and it was a foul on Szobo so the ref had to deal with the first incident. It made logical sense to me - itās what they would do in Rugby: sort it step by step. Itās cynical and unfair but thatās the process.
It reminded me of Suarez handling the ball on the line in the World Cup, getting a red and the penalty miss after. It was completely unfair but thatās the rules of the game. Should have given him a 6 month ban for blatant cheating but then you open a can of worms on what is deemed blatant and what isnāt .
What I found funny was Szoboās complaining/protesting he had been fouled given he just fouled Harland. Maybe they could have let the game run then carded both for their actions. The ref didnāt react quick enough when Harland fouled Szobos and blow the whistle. I thought Harland should have been booked also (was he? ) . I wouldnāt argue if both were given a set ban for their actions. But hey - this is City and Liverpool, they wonāt do anything.
They may even take 10 points of us to make sure someone is made an example ofā¦.
09 Feb 2026 22:24:37
Had the ball not crossed the line City would have been screaming for a foul and a red card.
10 Feb 2026 16:40:36
Agreed BMD, they canāt pick and choose the rules. Donāt understand what all the fuss is about myself, thereāve been far more contentious decisions this season. I still think Tarksās arm was by his side against Leeds! š.
10 Feb 2026 17:48:08
Itās the lack of consistency that drives us all mad. Saw a clip of fouls given the other day and similar challenges against us and nothing.
Iām not saying theyāre a conspiracy against us as Iām sure other teams suffer as much. Thereās too many mistakes and VAR have been useless in trying to pick up on them.
08 Feb 2026 23:25:26
Well what a weekend that's been. Went the game with an old friend of mine who is an ardent Fulham fan. Sadly not in with the away supporters who looked like they were having a fine time, especially in the second half.
First half their is no getting away from it we were really poor, and I was thankful that we were only one down. Over a couple of beers at half time I jokingly said we are different team in the second half.
Was still surprised just how good we were though, it's just frustrating we can't start like that.
Even the second goal I was just waiting for VAR to not give it, so nice to see things are finally going our way.
Won my fifty quid bet and caught the end of England battering the Welsh so a perfect day really.
Just got back after watching the Liverpool game in a pub full of Arsenal fans, had to explain a few times that I was not a red. Think they got the message when I jumped up when Silva scored. All good banter though.
09 Feb 2026 05:28:38
I'm staying very quiet about rugby atm š¤.
09 Feb 2026 21:13:59
I spent many years in Wales WT. Iāve not known a crisis like this in the Welsh side since the 80s.
07 Feb 2026 15:24:20
Poor goal that and Fulham are turning the screw now i like young Armstrong and he is the future but he isn't a left winger.
08 Feb 2026 15:09:40
Our 2 were better though mate.
15 Jan 2026 13:48:26
āThe fans live, breathe and sleep their football club and to see it slipping away slowly is where the frustration liesā Wilson said.
āThey just want a team to try hard and give everything they can. I hope they get out of it. They are a big club, I enjoy playing at Goodison Park. Fingers crossed they get themselves out. ā.
17 Jan 2026 17:44:11
He gets the winner today as well mate.
14 Jan 2026 18:42:10
Oh sod it Senegal 1-0.
14 Jan 2026 21:47:50
They would have to play another game anyway win or lose. So Iād like them to go on and win it now.
