If we were looking at him, yes I agree. We're very slow off the mark, all smoke no fire. Across the park they've made some great signings. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but from the outside we seem to be doing everything at a snails pace!

I think the club have potentially managed to silence the leak.
Therefore the majority of players we are currently being linked with are players we’ve previously had links to and in most cases are lazy journalism.
Imagine there’s a fair bit going on in the background and come 1st July onwards we’ll see some movement.

If he’s that good would he be signing for Sunderland? I don’t know the player too well. Agreed, names mentioned are not exciting yet, but if we keep JB we’re nailing down a secure foundation. Still plenty of scope to be positive.

After rushing into players left right and always centre quite relaxed this summer for some reason, not taking notice of a single rumour and will see who we have when they sign, players we missed may not be what moyes and the team want, feel a few surprises may happen next month good or bad well that depends on the individuals view.

It’s the same every year! We wait until right at the end of the window, panic and then have no time to bed the players in. The reds have it right getting them in early. They never overpay either set a target and get them. We could learn a lot.

Whilst they do make good deals they definitely do overpay - Nunez £80m+, Wirtz £110m+ just to name 2 recent ones - imagine there’s are others.

It would be nice to be linked with some quality players or players with potential. Our issue is the PSR so I’m not expecting anything until Tuesday. Although Diarre would have been a promising buy, it would have been a Geuye replacement in my eyes as we’d lose our midfield during the AFCON. Let’s see if we get Fellows, Hamer and Barry next week.

I hope you’re right guernsey! I will give you Nunez ginger but wirtz loooks genuinely world class so I think that will end up being a bargain but only time will tell. My point was more we always over pay because we leave so late and panic buy, with clubs knowing we are desperate. If we moved early we wouldn’t be held to ransom.

For me the jury is out on Wirtz. Genuinely never heard of him before he signed for Liverpool - £110m seems an awful lot of money for him.
They also in my opinion over spent on Keita, Benteke and Carroll.

They did I am talking more recently under the current owners so should have been clearer because you are right ginger, they have obviously massively over paid for rubbish int he past to. Just feels like others learn there lesson and we never do but hopefully our new owners will do for us what others have done.
