That's for sure mate.

21 May 2026 19:24:48
He'd be on holiday if he wasn't at the World Cup anyway. Maybe he can scout us a new striker.

21 May 2026 19:29:48
Hope he gets to see Patterson play more than 15 minutes.

21 May 2026 20:54:34
He sees him play every week in training.

22 May 2026 10:14:43
Hopefully, his TV skills will be admired and a long term contract offered by Sky or BBC. As long as he does not dither during the match commentary he should be fine.

I just don't get all the hate for Moyes.

23 May 2026 09:22:43
I love the FBS flip flop post.

23 May 2026 09:24:30
Most people are behind Moyes. Haters always come out when there's a few poor performances. They'll go missing again after a few wins.

23 May 2026 14:35:10
I'm sure things were so much better under Dyche, languishing near the bottom of the table. Some people have really short memories.

23 May 2026 15:20:13
Well, the survey wouldn't suggest that. Bobbie, can you tell me when these wins are likely to be?

23 May 2026 18:14:24
BMD, not sure what survey you're on about. Obviously I can't tell you when the wins will be, strange comment that. I'm just pointing to the negativity that's been a downfall for this club for years now. A few losses and we turn on the manager, the board, the players. These are the fans that started a club protest 3 transfer windows on the bounce.

We've had a long season adjusting to a new stadium, coming away with a decent away record, not spending most of our time passing backwards, and have been a lot better against the top teams.

Let's not be another West Ham who thought they were better than Moyes and look what's happened to them.

Moyes needs a transfer window of his own, there's no way he bought in a majority of what came in the last window.

I'd also be interested to see who you think we could realistically bring in and do a better job?

23 May 2026 18:30:19
Moyes has said he has a say in every player we buy. We are one point better off than last season, and went out of both cups at the first hurdle. A lot better against the top teams? Yet bloody awful against those below us.
Could it be that the Hammers are struggling because Moyes left them with an aging team?

23 May 2026 20:13:04
West Ham have had 4 transfer windows since Moyes left.

I'd put my mortgage on us being 6/7 points better off if we were still at Goodison. Surely you didn't expect us to pick up where we left off from Goodison?

Appreciate our opinion differs, but you don't seem to have an idea on who you'd replace Moyes with, so it's difficult to debate.

Personally I'd stick with Moyes, but if he went I'd go for Regis.

23 May 2026 20:33:30
I don't believe that anyone hates Moyes, everyone has a lot of respect for him and realize that he is blue through and through.
It's just that we are not sure that he is the right person to take us forward for a variety of reasons, including dependence on certain players, not giving some of the younger players a chance, and poor use of substitutions. Additionally, his tactics are one dimensional. Having said all of that, he has taken the risk of relegation off the table, at least for this season.

Of course it is a big risk to change managers and thankfully none of us will make that decision.
I believe that he will be given another season, let's hope that he can find a striker who can control a ball and can score, and full-backs that can both defend and attack, and, most importantly for both the team and him, that Branthwaite has a full season of being fully fit and is used in combination with O'Brien at the heart of our defense.

I might be starting with dementia, but did Dyche not have to contend with a points deduction? I seem to remember someone pointing out that, had we not had the points deduction, we would have been around 10th.

24 May 2026 08:39:44
People miss that bit, Nick.

24 May 2026 08:40:47
We are 1 point better off, but if it wasn't for very poor VAR decisions it would be a lot better. We also haven't been anywhere near relegation, totally different season to last. I can't remember; I think people just love to think the grass is greener. We aren't in any position to moan at what Moyes has done.

24 May 2026 13:48:10
The players and fans got us out of that and I think some other teams helped us to. Dyche just 'changed the story'.

24 May 2026 19:30:44
End of season rollover from Everton again. Spurs fans should never have been in doubt, given our recent form, which has been shocking and the dinosaur tactics we employ. Dyche got a hard time because of his way, but Moyes is not dissimilar.

If we end up with Trippier, McGinn, Stones, Grealish next season, then we might improve, but the physio department will be over worked.

After the last few seasons, we can't complain about safety, so maybe expectations were slightly elevated, but we had ourselves in a position to be fighting for Europe, but when the pressure came on, the team crumbled along with the manager. He reverted to type, which is ultra conservative.

We have a summer and the World Cup to distract us for a month or two.

26 May 2026 13:28:54
Business doesn't start till 15th. Moyes doesn't have to be in attendance for any signings. He will already have his top list. He will already have spoken to a few.
