It's all a deflection act to soften the blow of losing Ndiaye, when they say 'at least we kept our young talent'. If they do sell Armstrong though, I hope there are protests at our next home game.

You could be right, Comet, as I was saying this to my wife earlier. For a squad that doesn't have more depth than last season, we would be mad to entertain offers for players, but you are right, it could be deflection that 'oh we kept Armstrong and then also O'Brien', but the Ndiaye offer was too good as we got cash plus Grealish.
I don't want Ndiaye to go, but I could actually live with that. The recruitment team need to have identified targets when murmurs started, but if it is sanctioned we are putting a lot of faith in some people to get more players in who haven't even secured the mythical right back yet!
