Edd, where did you get all these Blue Ostriches from?

Blue2

{Ed025's Note - I imagine that a lot of us will be burying our heads in the sand this season Blue2. Just like our board mate..

1.) 24 Jul 2022 22:11:11
Just want to give you feedback Ed025, the last three games I picked up and paid more attention to Godfrey when I previously said I think Godfrey will come good again.

But I have to agree with you, everytime he gets the ball, he turns and plays a backward pass, the only one who looks capable of moving the ball forward is Mina.

Whether having better midfielders might help our defence to play it out from the back is a possibility, but agree Godfrey has gone backwards big time, since coming back in the team.

Happy to aknowledge when I get it wrong mate.

{Ed025's Note - I really wish I was wrong about him baz. I thought he had what it takes but I’m afraid he’s a lost cause mate. I’m not saying he’s the only one that needs to ship out but he’s certainly one of them..

2.) 24 Jul 2022 23:13:30
Tarkowski passed the ball well today.

3.) 25 Jul 2022 07:27:56
Keane makes mistakes but we looked more secure yesterday with him and Tarkowski in the back 3. Keane Mina Tarkowski at the moment first choice for me. All three capable of bringing the ball out. If Patterson can play like that he should be first choice RWB Mikky LWB. Looks like Allan Decoure DM again. Gray DCL Gordon (stop falling over lad) up front.

4.) 25 Jul 2022 08:20:52
When do we except Keane is a liability he makes far to many mistakes.

5.) 25 Jul 2022 09:22:15
The amount of blues who have give me grief on twitter last night was a joke all because I said from my seat we are very very poor, Blackpool didn't press and we still looked terrible playing it out from the back, I love Tom Davies but that kid needs to look around and turn when it's passed to him instead of just passing it back I am very worried about the upcoming season and I genuinely think Relegation is a real possibility.

6.) 25 Jul 2022 09:26:36
Surprisingly, for me, despite all the rumours, links, who we're supposedly chasing, who we supposedly failed to get. The frustration of not seeing anyone turn up so late in the day, the free transfer that is tarkowski, will be our best bit of business, I was glad we got him anyhow, but if reports are correct, he's been a shouter and leader on the pitch in the friendlies, and if Frank can Just find the right combo, hopefully everything else will fall into place. Just wish we could grab a couple of players and have them settled in before the kick off. Its like we're shopping in home bargains but waiting for the summer sale to start before we can spend!

7.) 25 Jul 2022 16:34:17
Think he’s a great signing. Need Mina to stay for fit, then it’s one of Keane, Holgate or Godfrey, which worries me, unless and hear me out here - Coleman moves inside to become the third centre back….

8.) 25 Jul 2022 17:39:23
If we are not selling Mina then that's a pretty robust back 3. If he stays fit for 30 games it could be a dependable unit. With Holgate and Godfrey pushing in training, it's almost an ideal situation. Something will clearly happen and totally destroy that because we are Everton but I'm pretty happy with that set of 5 CBs (come on Mina and stay fit)

Ed25
Think you are being a bit harsh on Godfrey! The lad looked great first season and never got back to form after C.V. and missing a lot of pre-season last season. I agree he was poor last season but he’s fast, determined and loves a tackle. He’s also young. If his distribution is poor and backwards (which I agree it often is) then that’s a job for the coaches to instil/ improve. I certainly rate him higher then Holgate and Keane at CB plus he can play at FB so for me he’s a keeper. A good squad player who is young and can be improved.

{Ed025's Note - when he first came PHH I thought he was the bee’s knee’s. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for the past 2 seasons because of covid but his fitness looks fine. It’s his use of the ball which concerns me mate..it’s hopeless. Is that down to the coaches and manager?…absolutely. But in the end he has to grow up and make his own decisions imo. This turning backwards all the time will not improve him as a player. He needs to take more responsibility for his own game or he will end up back in the championship..

10.) 25 Jul 2022 21:05:55
Think we are sort of agreeing! We both know there’s a cracking player in there! Let’s hope we see it this season and he’s the player who just a couple of years ago was knocking on England’s door!

{Ed025's Note - I would like nothing more PHH. But he has to step up now mate starting with being better on the ball and being more proactive..

Read Ken getting ten mill payoff, only Everton pays for failure, the other three got Severn between them?

Blue2

1.) 09 Aug 2023 15:31:09
It’s not paying for failure! He still has shares which I’m sure are being purchased for him to leave. I know he ain’t done a lot right recently but let’s give him a bit of slack as he saved us from Johnson all those years ago! I’m sure a lot on here won’t know what I’m talking about as they will be too young but I dread to think where we may have been if he disinterested come to us when he did. Football has changed and owners need bundles of money nowadays which unfortunately Bill doesn’t have. Can’t blame him for that.

2.) 09 Aug 2023 15:35:21
Water under a bridge! Blue2.

3.) 09 Aug 2023 16:02:12
Didn’t he have that £10m in the Arteta money ?.

4.) 09 Aug 2023 16:02:51
£10 million is the full amount for all of them, the first three received £7 million so Bill gets £3 million not bad eh.

5.) 09 Aug 2023 16:06:50
Agree with leicester toffee, he did stat to long though, but kept things steedy for along time.

6.) 09 Aug 2023 17:12:27
A small price to pay to finally see the back of him.

7.) 09 Aug 2023 20:33:42
Personally I'd say it was Moyes and his scouting team that kept us steady, not Bill.

8.) 09 Aug 2023 20:35:31
I'm sorry, Kenwright held us back, he never wanted to let go, he had and never had any vision for us. I've met this man many times, and he is an arrogant self serving bast%%%.
