Reading Yilmaz has agreed personal terms with us. Be good to get him in.

02 Aug 2026 19:25:51
Good numbers. Looks decent.

02 Aug 2026 19:25:55
It would be amazing to get him in GB. He has great attributes and is direct. His numbers are very decent. I, for one, will be excited if this one comes off. Apparently Spurs are supposedly sniffing around him too. He can play anywhere across the front three, I'm just hoping it's not a replacement for Ndiaye if we do manage to sign him up.

0

02 Aug 2026 19:38:14
More excited over this one than Murphy..

It'd make for good competition if we had him, George, Ndiaye, Grealish, Rohl and Dibling.

1

02 Aug 2026 13:25:20
Jacob Murphy is getting linked with us again, looks like DM is going for a mixture of experience and youth in th Team.

2

02 Aug 2026 16:35:36
He's not an exciting signing, similar to Norgaard, but I won't be disappointed if he signs.

I actually think both are underrated GB.

3

02 Aug 2026 17:19:00
Last couple of seasons, if Murphy was Brazilian, they'd have been getting plaudits.

3

02 Aug 2026 20:08:40
Has he been playing lots off the bench, JB, as I didn't think his numbers were that great last season?

0

02 Aug 2026 08:31:54
Richy for Everton latest.

6

02 Aug 2026 08:44:43
Hope not, GB, it would be yet another stupid signing by the club.

2

02 Aug 2026 09:05:43
Not for me either.

1

02 Aug 2026 09:30:58
Still better than anything we have up front. He scores goals for starters! If we're improving the team then I'm all for it.

8

02 Aug 2026 09:52:20
I know this one splits opinion. Personally, I'd love to see him back in a blue shirt. He's better than what we have and would run through a brick wall for us.

6

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - if it was a loan or a small fee i would be all for it JB, but i suspect Spurs would want a hefty fee and his wage would have to be considered as its bound to be high mate..

5

02 Aug 2026 10:35:27
Richarlison scored for Watford, Everton and Spurs all in the Premier League. That’s a priceless quality when acquiring a striker. Re-signing players doesn’t always work, but to take away the worry of whether he’d score or not when signing the striker is Golden, in my view. If there’s a chance to sign him, then I’m for it.

8

02 Aug 2026 10:46:22
He's only got a year left on his contract, so the fee shouldn't be astronomical. At 29, he should still have a good few years left in him too. Any striker of his quality would demand a decent wage. De Zebri said 'he knows where he wants to go'. Hoping that means he's asked for a move back to us.

4

02 Aug 2026 10:55:10
I agree, mate. Unfortunately, right now I don't think we are going to attract the players we want as fans. We have struggled in the bottom half of the league now for years, and the way we ended the season last year hasn't done us any favours.
If we had a choice, between Barry, Beto or say Delap or Richarlison, I would take Richarlison all day.

I don't have faith in our recruitment team finding some hidden gem like Bournemouth do etc.
So, based on those factors, if we got a chance to take him, I would.
He knows the club, scores goals and is a million times better than what we have or, by the looks of it so far, what we might be able to attract or afford.

5

02 Aug 2026 11:23:46
Yep, be really good to have him back again, hope this happens.

5

02 Aug 2026 10:46:52
All but guaranteed 15 goal involvements a season and 100% guaranteed proper graft for the shirt.

As Ed said, the only thing that would make this deal not make sense is the fee Spurs would be after.

If he is 25m or below, it would make absolute sense.

6

02 Aug 2026 12:12:34
If Richy clearly wants to leave, then get him in asap. I don't need to add anything, as BN has spelt it out, can't believe some on here don't want him in, so Barry, Beto, Delap or Richy? The mind boggles.

2

02 Aug 2026 12:54:48
You do all know DM would play Richy at right back.

1

02 Aug 2026 12:43:31
I believe this question still tops one of the sites categories. Delap or Rikky? All players go through an injury spell and he's had a bad 18months but seems to have been ok since Christmasish? he's fantastic at winning free kicks, him and Grealish would win us many around the box. He frustrates the old skool who thinks you shouldn't go down without a broke leg but the game has moved this way since the late 80s when the cute gamemanship became a thing. We can stand and wag our fingers and demand fairness and lose out or we can get 2 of the best at it. he's actually very tough and we can all atest to witnessing some robust tackles he takes. Sure he rolls and sulks but he then gets up and is fine. 29 is a perfect age for a striker in the modern game, strikers have become the new keepers and seem to not reach their top until their 30s fact.
I actually think he's got a Suadi move or a return home before us but we should be in for him. Can play striker or LW and even when struggling with fitness in a relegation zone team for 2 years, scores and assists more than our current forwards, he was also pretty handy when defending corners. We shouldn't be concerned with wages, its not our concern. And to stick that argument further down those throats, shirt sales would see a boon. Him losing his start spot for Brazil is also a positive and gives him motivation to get back to be their main striker. That will only be a positive to whatever club signs him. £30m+ for Delap allegedly demanded by CFC.
Rikky would be cheaper considering he wants to go and has 1 year left. Also knows the 1 up top EFC hardworking role. No brainer for me. Doubt it'll happen but i'd be behind this over any other rumour. People seem to expect us to do a Howard or a Leicester and challenge the title out of nowhere. The ones of us a little less delusional want a solid top 10 finish and a decent cups runs and who knows? Maybe finally delete our dire league cup histories? We were on our ass, then we got back up and started to walk, now let's see if we can do a little light jog? Sprinting? that's possibly too far away for the clutch of proper old dudes here and that's almost certainly what's driving their ridiculous posts. Sorry guys but unless you do a Walt Disney, you probably ain't going to see the return to the top. Just be glad you did in the past and stop beating the back in my day drum.

Also I think the recent shot at the moaners isn't anything more than the few new users who seem to be only posting about the manager, daily and repeatedly. Its professional trolling and in this media age its easy to spot. We are all here moaning but this new breed are sticking out like a cartoon thumb and its tedious and cynical attempts at causing divisions. Anyone who bites is playing into their hands. And i'm glad to see these users rarely get a thumbs up. If we ignore them they will continue for a while with a series of user accounts and then will go away. In the words of Rik Mayall 'stop talking to the fuk99g fish'

FBS 100% correct.

0

02 Aug 2026 14:16:58
FBS spot on, mate.

1

02 Aug 2026 15:30:33
Let's be honest.. the 2 we have playing up front for us are not good enough for Everton.. full stop. Anyone who thinks they are ok wants their head testing. We cannot settle for this crap for another season.. Richarlison all the way.. take a loss on the other two, just get shut.

2

Why not keep Baz? Has plenty of time. Looked ok to me in Germany, but Beto must go and a main 9 Must come next month.

1

02 Aug 2026 17:01:15
Ricky is a good striker and if he was cheap then I'd be happy to have him back. However, anything above 15m with his age, contract and injuries, then it's a no for me.

Delap is a no. His price is only 30m because he's English and Barry is a better prospect for me.

Barry is going to be a good striker. Even in pre season he's scored 1, should have been two only for a poor linesman call and an assist.

He's getting more physical in games and his confidence is improving. Beto is a lovely fella, but he is so short in many areas he doesn't have time to learn.

Our problem isn't a striker, though, it's getting the ball to the strikers. The way Moyes plays and always played means they have to live on scraps. So we need players to improve the supply chain.

0

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i get the supply thing John but for me Barry is the worst forward ever to wear a blue shirt mate, and that includes every team who play in blue in the world mate..

0

02 Aug 2026 17:10:29
I'd welcome Richy back if he wanted to come and Spurs don't have us over a barrel with a deal..

He knows where the net is and Barry and Beto have struggled to locate it. I'm getting so desperate for goals, I'd even consider Delap!

Loan Barry and see if he improves.

0

02 Aug 2026 17:38:26
Fair today. 25, but out of all the business we need, for me, he's low priority and, yes, has many years before he should be considered an Everton raspberry. Or a blue of any blue club in the world. As 3rd choice, as I believe he was intended, he's absolutely a long term investment. People bang on about what they think of players' market value, and make statements about fees as if they're clued up. We paid a lot for him, and to throw him away for a big loss seems the only sure fact of poor financial management.

He represents last season's failures, and I think it's harsh. His buddies made it more justified to hate him, and yes, he has a face only a mother could love. Give him a break, and one day he could be the next Moise K or Lookman or Villic or Robinson or and repeat infinitum. We are kid destroyers, let's be a bit more circumspect?

1

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i like to think i know a lemon when i see one FBS, i wanted so much to see him do well mate but i cant find a single attribute that makes me feel he could be a decent player...not one..

0

02 Aug 2026 18:11:49
Barry will come good.. I think he just needs a bit of confidence and to grow up - same as Dibling. We'll regret it if we sold either!

1

02 Aug 2026 19:05:52
Dibling, no chance, looks like a little boy lost. Barry has the skill with ball at feet, works hard in training, alone and with the squad by all accounts, but he moves like a puppet on a string. Any of the top boys who had done that backheel would have been lauded.

0

02 Aug 2026 20:18:15
Dibling is garbage, and I did tell everyone on here last year when he was linked, we were buying him cos he had a good half hour against Liverpool, which seems to be all it takes for our scouts to be all in! Although one of the posters on here did call me out about how wrong I was, think he likened him to a top drawer player too as a comparison.

Safe to say whoever it was has gone very quiet!

0

02 Aug 2026 20:22:17
I thought Barry held onto the ball too long and could have played it to others. The back heel, though, looks impressive, was behind Rohl and it was his good footwork that led to the goal.

I'm not sure on Barry. Give him a season in the Championship to hone his skills. Then see if he has improved at all.

As for Dibbers, I'm at a loss. The kid has had issues away from Southampton in the past.

He is highly regarded by some, but looks lost on the pitch. Is that because he's in the wrong position or he's just not very good with our tactics? My mate is a Saints fan and says they have robbed us and Fernandez was the better prospect. Send him to the Championship for some experience and hope he comes good.

0

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - lets get one thing straight...this is not Tylers fault that we paid that much money for him, the ones to blame are our scouting network and the guys who negotiated the deal, he may come good of course but at the moment i would say that is looking very doubtful..

01 Aug 2026 20:36:41
Hey BN, do you have any info on Taras Mykhavko from Dynamo Kyiv, he’s being named as on DM list, mate.

1

01 Aug 2026 21:02:53
Looks half decent, can play centre half and leftback. Like the look of him.

0

01 Aug 2026 21:13:28
Cheers mate.

0

01 Aug 2026 21:54:13
No info on him, sorry, GB. I watch fair bit of foreign football, but I would be a liar if I said I watched the Ukrainian Premier League.

I did watch a couple of videos on him, though, mate, and he reminds me a little bit of JB.

Big, strong, and times his tackles very well. He is better in the air than JB, though, from what I have seen.

Like Dev said, mate, really like the look of him, and it means we can get rid of one of Keane or Tarks, be that this window or next.

1

01 Aug 2026 22:13:10
Thanks with you on that, mate.

0

01 Aug 2026 16:49:29
Christian Norgaard deal agreed, £7m from Arsenal.

4

01 Aug 2026 18:02:06
We better have something decent in the pipeline elsewhere. This transfer window is scaring me.

3

01 Aug 2026 18:04:13
Good signing.

6

01 Aug 2026 18:06:27
Reckon that's a great deal for 7m, really effective for Brentford, we needed a replacement for Idrissa.

8

01 Aug 2026 18:22:45
Didn't play much for Arsenal but at that price give him a go.

5

01 Aug 2026 19:04:23
Solid team depth at a good price. I think he can play some CB.

1

01 Aug 2026 19:43:41
Think this is a really shrewd signing to be honest. Very different approach to the position than Gueye but has much better passing range which I welcome - inexpensive compared to some of the unproven players we've been linked to.

1

01 Aug 2026 21:27:00
Agree he's solid and decent, but the lack of a right back is worrying. Not sure this Celtic lad is the one, but at least he's a right back, I suppose.

1

01 Aug 2026 21:53:20
I'm sorry, but No Go to Norgaard even for £7M, 32 year old who couldn't make it into the Arsenal squad. If we want to become a so called top 6 team again we need to stop buying their rejects. We need to do what we did in Moyes first stint.Find unproven talent from Championship or Europe, and don't give them release clauses in their contracts and stop being a sell on club when we make them good. Also believe in our youth talent more instead of loaning them out for experience and give them a shot at top level.

Moyes done that with Rooney and he should definitely do that again with Braiden Graham.

1

01 Aug 2026 22:27:38
Couldn't get Rice out of the team? Must be awful then. Solid signing for me. We're looking to build a strong squad. Good player, good pro, improves us. Not the last signing, and no one saw it coming, which means we're in the market.

5

01 Aug 2026 22:43:29
That would give options of Garner, Norgaard and Tim as CDM.. A fairly solid depth there.

3

01 Aug 2026 23:38:46
Moyes was absolutely dreadful at bringing youth through in his first stint. Rooney is incomparable and we will never get that lucky again. Nor will any English club imo. What a player.

1

02 Aug 2026 10:09:25
And what a player young Braiden will become too, created the winning goal in last night's friendly in Germany after coming on for just the last few minutes.

1

02 Aug 2026 11:01:17
Not sure you could say he created the goal. But nice to see young players getting a go.

0

02 Aug 2026 11:25:40
Great signing if it goes through, a top top midfielder, with brains, great size and strength, excellent passer and finds the killer pass through to the strikers. I have admired him for years at Brentford, so lucky to get him for 7 million.

0

02 Aug 2026 15:51:44
BMD, he was alert and pounced on the poor pass from the keeper, then put a decent cross in leading to the OG. If he wasn't sharp and on the front foot, he doesn't intercept that pass. I think it's fair to say his positivity and proactiveness created the goal.

0

02 Aug 2026 16:31:14
When he came on, he added much-needed attacking emphasis along with the other subs. I worry he is a little lightweight and will be out-muscled by defenders in the Prem. Get him and Armstrong in the gym pre-season!

0

01 Aug 2026 16:43:42
Christian Norgaard 7mil apparently medical booked.
Get Moyes away from our club with immediate effect.

2

01 Aug 2026 17:27:27
Can I ask, do you actually know how much control Moyes has over our transfers? There is a whole team of people involved in them - Moyes isn't going in one morning, saying I want to sign Norgaard - putting the bid details together, speaking to Arsenal, then speaking to Norgaard and a few other places.

I'm not trying to be funny here, by the way, just trying to understand the reasoning behind your comment?

8

01 Aug 2026 17:53:57
I think there might be a slight clash internally. My understanding is the recruitment team are looking at players in the 20-25 age range who will develop and future resale value, Grealish is said to be the exception.
I do feel Moyes may be pushing for experienced prem experienced players, for more the short term.

If they blend the two, bringing in a little experience then not the worse thing, but we do need to be looking beyond the coming season otherwise the recruitment is only fixing things short term.

0

01 Aug 2026 18:04:52
Personally think this is a great signing. He's so much better than Tim.

6

01 Aug 2026 21:22:22
Mmm Chelsea signed both Wellbeck and Henderson for prem experience...

2

01 Aug 2026 22:28:44
Norgaard has more than one season in him. We need balance, not just 20 year olds.

1

02 Aug 2026 09:01:35
This is a great signing. I'm not a Moyes fan, and would rather someone else, but this guy is a big upgrade on Gana for a couple of years. 7m makes sense.

1

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i have not seen enough of him to form an opinion yet John but look forward to seeing what he brings to the table mate..

0

02 Aug 2026 10:34:24
Solid player ED 25, very composed on the ball and is a great passer, can cut through the lines and actually has a good free kick on him too, was always a 7/8 out of ten at Brentford, can play as a 6 or an 8 do at 7 million it's a no brained and gives us great options in the middle of the park.

0

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - for that sort of fee i would say bring it on Col..

01 Aug 2026 13:48:03
Everton are preparing a bid to sign Manchester United forward Ethan Wheatley, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Well this lad is a youngster. Some Moyes definitely would not play him.

1

01 Aug 2026 16:17:19
It's a joke, mate, isn't it, tbh? It's starting to annoy me how this club looks at transfer recruitments. They need to be held accountable, and serious questions need to be asked. Wish we stop pissing around and just go out and proply scout.

It's no good buying these lads for the under 21s. Does the club, or whoever is in charge of transfer recruitment, know that we actually need additions for the 1st team.

1

01 Aug 2026 16:55:29
What worries me is that his record is abysmal when playing in League 1 and League 2 when out on loan. Wtf makes them think he will cut it in the Premiership. If this is top level recruitment, God help us.

2

01 Aug 2026 18:04:04
We need a striker that is clinical, because we don't create much. I don't understand how all other teams are improving, yet we seem to be going sidewards.

1

01 Aug 2026 08:17:18
Sacha Boey (born 13 September 2000) is a French professional footballer who plays as a right-back and wing-back for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. This guy is supposed to be an option. Apparently the Bayern Munich sporting director has stated he is surplus to requirements, so another on to keep an eye on, as he should cost a bit less if they want to off load him.

Young French player, 25 years old, probably decent if Bayern Munich went for him, so maybe one to watch.

2

01 Aug 2026 09:33:19
Good player, but it looks like Moyse has his heart on the chap from Celtic who has spent most of the season out with hamstring issues. Still, at least he's a rb.

0

01 Aug 2026 12:01:11
Last time I saw Alistair Johnson play he was getting roasted by an 18 year old Mikey Moore, who Tottenham loaned to Rangers for a year, cause he needed experience. He's defo not the answer to our rightback problems.

0

01 Aug 2026 14:09:26
To my mind this one, Alistair Johnson, is being pursued for two reasons. Probably the most important: price, probably a third of the price of our first choice options in that position; and two, he is the age that Moyes prefers. Older players. He does not seem like a manager that thrives coaching youngsters or younger players who need experience and patience; he is all about the here and now. Now, I know a manager needs to keep his win ratio up, but Moyes is not the kinda manager you can put in charge of a project, as those managers thrive when dealing with youngsters and finding potential gems that they can integrate into a cohesive team structure.

Moyes is more pragmatic. I tend to play x system with players age 26 and over, not a flexible manager, which is why I can see him and Everton, as a consequence, struggling in the league this season. By the time the January transfer window 🪟 opens, I hope to God I am wrong though.

1

01 Aug 2026 16:01:35
Didn't we already take a full back deemed surplus from Bayern? Didn't play that one, so wouldn't want a repeat in the other full back position.

0

02 Aug 2026 00:24:08
How old do you have to be to be classed as old? For me, at least, 27 isn't old at all.

1

01 Aug 2026 07:22:54
Supposed to have bid £35 million for Yilmaz, a winger.

1

01 Aug 2026 08:11:30
This lad has serious pace, can beat a man and can cross a ball. Think he would very quickly become a crowd favourite, and, if Ndiaye did go, would be more than just an adequate replacement. Looked very good in the World Cup.

3

01 Aug 2026 10:06:59
Is he too fast for us?

2

01 Aug 2026 10:37:29
My god, Blue_dev, your positivity is really inspiring. You're definitely not a glass half empty fella.

1

01 Aug 2026 10:37:35
Sounds great, Brass', but can he pass backwards?

1

01 Aug 2026 12:12:11
Take a joke, Regie boy. I'm not all miserable, just when it comes to this club. Should come with a health warning.

0

01 Aug 2026 16:05:44
Means he'll be quick to get back into a defensive position..

0

01 Aug 2026 07:13:18
Reports this morning that we’ve had a team
in Turkey negotiating a deal for Yilmaz from Galatasaray. This lad can play.

Now reading they want £53 million.

Just pay it!
